When MoMo transferred I saw a lot of comments about him not being able to get recognition at a small school. Az is on TV all the time, blah, blah . . .
One thing Scott has done this year is emphatically answer this question. If you are a good player, with good skills, and you aspire to play at the next level, you will get plenty of attenion at Iona. Scott has been all over ESPN, CBS sports, the NY Daily news, and sites such as bleacherreport, nybuckets, etc. He's been able to showcase his skills and scouts routinely come to Hynes or watch the team on the road. No problem.

NBA teams invest tens of millions of dollars on their players. Money like that isn't handed out to just anyone. Souting is very sophisticated and not to be underestimated - whatever the level: D1, D2, D3, International or high school, if you're good they'll be aware of you.
