I believe Randy Dezouvre moved into the starting lineup two games ago. Well the last two games, FF scored 62 points and shot 38.1%. Then St. Peter's scored 40 and shot 34.8%. Is it that the two teams, both playing at home, are not VG offensively, or does Randy's energy and defensive skills play a roll? What do you think?

I don't know how Ridley did vs SPC, but I though Ridley--coming off the bench for Randy against Fairfield--played with some fire in his belly. Iona is MUCH better defensively and on the glass when Ridley brings it. In fact, in that regard he is VERY important to the success of the team come March.
My thinking is Ridley and Randy should split time. Neither is effective logging more minutes than that.

If Fairfield is hitting shots from the perimeter they could be a very dangerous team because Sanders is a beast down low. SPC is just not that good offensively, but I think the intensity and passion Randy brings to the defensive end is a contributing factor to lower points allowed.

Meant to include in my post that I'd like to see Diggs get 5 minutes or so regularly, because I think it's important to develop a big that defends. I don't know anything about Laury's defense, but if he's not much for playing D, we'll have the same situation next year with him and Ridley.

Sanders came alive in the 2nd half against Iona and am scared to see him for the rematch in New Rochelle. You could definitely see why he was recruited by the Big East.

It is possible RD had something to do with it, but it is kind of hard to say, based upon the competition. SPC only shoots 40% on the year and FF averages only 65 ppg, so neither of those offensive performances were unusually bad for those teams.

We also got away from playing the good D in the second half that we did in the first. For some reason, and maybe its a function of the style, but when we are clicking on offense, we're expending a lot of energy running and getting shots, our D suffers. I don't think its a lack of effort. Just maybe with our offensive style its hard to get back on D and misses lead to breaks against us and easy baskets. He had some easy layups in the second half as I recall.
