Not a big surprise, but MoMo was the MAAC POW, which was announced, yesterday. And I'm not sure which was more surprising, MoMo's 43 or the Siena star, Aosike (Sp?). He's a TERRIBLE foul shooter, but in their last game, he was 8-8 from the foul line. I'd guess MoMo will score 40+ before AO goes 8-8 from the line again. A knowledgeable Iona fan opines that if we had AO, we'd be an Elite 8 team.

If Anosike was a couple of years older and on those threepeat Siena teams they may have been another Butler, GMU, or VCU; he' s a fantastic player.

I think the 2008-09 Siena team was capable of making a run like those teams had they held on against Louisville. OD would not have started over Franklin or Rossiter even as well as he's been playing this year. OD is a beast though. He had 22 rebounds against Fairfield - even went 8/8 from the foul line (all swishes) He should be on first team all-MAAC with Glover, Machado, Beamon and Sanders. POY will come down to OD, Momo, Beamon, Etherly next season.

If he continues to get better at finishing inside, he might have a shot at averaging 20 and 15 next year. Momo, Beamon and Etherly will be pre-season first team. Perhaps one of the NU freshmen guards, or maybe Needham will get the 5th spot. I agree on your first team for this year. I think the only question is whether Machado and Glover share POY or Machado wins it outright.

I watched the Fairfield- Siena game and was surprised at what an offensve liability OD was in that game. There were at least 5 or 6 opportunities where he got the ball down low and lost it by putting it on the floor. It got to the point that as soon as I saw him get an entry pass down low I knew he was going to lose it. Haven't seen enough Siena games to judge but is this the norm or did he just have an off day offensively.
