You would think guys would be savvy enough to know that great coaching will get them to the next level. Not fancy arenas or weight-lifting equipment. But how many 18 year olds are mature and savvy enough to realize that? Were you "savvy" @ 18 or 19? Repeat-- take a tour of the locker rooms, video room, etc. Then ask the question. I'm not even savvy now

So I made my way to Spring Valley to check out Kai Mitchell, Rickey McGill, and Aaron Ray. Have seen all 3 play multiple times but all have improved tenfold.
McGill is gonna be a blast to watch next year. He had 28 points and 9 assists. A Casimir and McGill backcourt is going to be lightning quick and high scoring. Push AJ to the 3 maybe? That's ridiculous flexibility. McGill is a complete nuisance on D. His handle is something to behold. Can't wait to get him on campus.
Mitchell has dropped some baby weight and bulked up. I wonder if he's still growing. He is a rebounder above all else and loves to battle. He had 28 points and 15 boards. He has a nasty steak and loves to challenge drives and protect the rim. He tends to outmuscle non D-1 HS kids for obvious reasons. Will that be the case in the MAAC? His handle is decent and court awareness is solid. He reminds me a lot of a young Mike Glover. Let's hope he can reach that level.
I know we have been involved with Aaron Ray from Middletown HS but I don't know if we still are. You can also tell that he has worked on his body. He's a classic 2 guard with good handle, consistent jumper, and slashing ability. He challenged Mitchell at the rim multiple times and converted a few 3 point plays on hard fouls. He has a toughness that we would all love.

Believe we also offered Tre's teammate, 6-8 Kyrin Galloway, a 2016 recruit.

McGill, playing with an injured shoulder, still has 17 at the half against Tappan Zee.

Jared Wilson-Frame is out of the picture for now. He has decided to play a year at Hutchinson CC (yes... where Ahmed is now) and then will look to head to a BCS school with three years of eligibility remaining.

Pretty sure Sina will wind up at Northwestern or Indiana, 2 of his finalists, with Seton Hall
Was told that TC was at Long Island Lutheran last week when they played Christ The King. Marvon Prochet has recently come back to play for Lutheran. 6'7'' SF. I know Iona has also offered Devonte Green. Prochet would be very good in the MAAC
