Can we be sure that no ruling on Pelle was ever made? Shades of "T Squared"

Can we be sure that no ruling on Pelle was ever made? You asked this already. I answered it. Sent from my ADR6300 using proboards

On Sports Night, I was told by a person in the know that Norvelle had a NCAA submission deadline and he never submitted the required documentation. Let's forget him and support the players who want to be a Gael.

Actually, I heard he submitted late.

If accurate, the bigger question then is: Does "late" mean his eligibility is or isn't currently under consideration by the ncaa?

Either way, I agree with the spirit of JPR's post--not many believed he'd ever play here anyway.

Adam Zagoria @adamzagoria Iona is still awaiting word from the NCAA on 7-footer Norvel Pelle, sources tell @snytv
So according to Zags we are still waiting to hear. Weird thing is Pelle has not tweeted anything since November 5th which is not normal for he kid. I am starting to wonder if the staff has asked him to stay off the social media until they make an announcement when they hear back from the NCAA. I think we will see Pelle on campus before anything is announced so we can keep other schools from making a run at him if he is ruled eligible. Just my gut.... nothing more. Hell he could be tucked away in New Rochelle right now for all I know. That would be wonderful. ;D

He isn't even a student at the school. Schools do it all the time with recruits who do not use their heads. Not that Pelle has posted anything stupid but other recruits have posted stuff on twitter and facebook that cost them scholarships. The problem with Pelle is that he has not signed a letter of intent with Iona. In theory he could get cleared by the NCAA and be chased by other schools. If I was Cluess I would tell Pelle's advisors to keep a positive decision quite until he was officially enrolled at Iona. I can guarantee you that another school swooping in at the last minute has been a concern for the staff.

Not sure if UCLA has any ships remaining but it sounds like their top recruit will not be ruled eligible. It would be naive to think they would not take a run at Pelle if he were to be ruled eligible for the second semester. UCLA is trying to salvage their season after all of their preseason hype. Just hoping for a miracle that Pelle is still ruled eligible and plays at Iona. On a side note I believe the early signing period begins shortly and really hope the stud JUCO in florida signs with Iona now so we lock him in

The kid can just flat out score from anywhere and can pass really well. I hope we also take a look at his teammate at Manatee, Devon Hodges. Hodges was originally committed to Wisconsin but instead went to Bradley. He is a 6'8" PF who is athletic, can block shots, drop the outside shot and rebound his ass off. Was rated an 86 by ESPN coming out of high school. He is reported to be a very good student.
