Down to 3 and we're still in it. BC, USF & Iona. Couldn't find a non-stop out of NY/NJ to Eugene this weekend?

USF plays (or played) in the AAC with Louisville, UCONN, etc. Neighbor is an alum. They are high on this kid, have a scholarship available, but have only one returning player of consequence, a very good pg who missed much of last season with an injury. They will have 6 frosh on the roster. May not be the ideal situation for him as far as winning--but he would get a chance to showcase his skills against top competition.

Sounds like it's BC, Iona, and USF right now, in that order. Hopefully we can close deal.

While we are waiting .....can someone educate me as to the process that determines a 5th year player's acceptance. Does he take post-grad classes? Was he red-shirted one of his four prior years, etc....?

Isn't Louisville joining the ACC this season? Or is that next year?

Does anyone know if Jerome Frink ended up anywhere? It looks like he is still available.

any kid in their right mind would take bc over iona (coming out of high school) ....better school academically and they are a "major" playing in arguably the best conf in America.......however , with only 1 year of eligibility remaining and coming from this area (nyc metro) with the fact that bc has a new coach and are trying to "rebuild" the program...this kid doesn't have time to waste at bc....Iona is poised to win the maac and get the ncaa bid...hell , they might be good enough (with him) to get an invite without winning the maac...all of this leads me to believe that he is going to choose Iona...lets see

Interesting to see how this works out. Chance to play against BCS programs at BC and USF, but both programs are in total rebuild mode, and honestly his play will not have an impact on their seasons. Or choose Iona and play a very solid MM type schedule and play an important role on a winning team with a great chance to play in the NCAA tourney before he graduates close to family. So. Miss. won 29 games last year, so I would assume winning is a priority for Brown.
