.............we can do better. Sounds like the message that our Women's team is sending to our Men's team. After the Men went on the road and shot the lights out, Iona Women won, last night, at Sacred Heart, 86-62. They shot 29-47, 61.7%. And from deep, they were 10-14, 71.4%. Damika had 33 points, out scoring Tre. A WOW performance.

Great game - also showed their depth. Christina Rubin may be the rising star - 14 points in 14 minutes. Good to see both the men & Women improving with each game.

Success in both programs would be great and hopefully can translate into Iona College being recognized as a "Basketball School". Would love to see more local athletes identifying with the programs and the name recognition of the school being elevated outside the local area. In my opinion Iona College is a hidden gem.
