I didn't like the way DL3 looked. He landed hard with his knee in an awkward position and immediately collapsed to the floor grimacing in pain and holding the inside of his knee. He was clearly hurt. He got himself up and ran back down the court to get back on defense and was limping badly. At that point it looked as if he was trying to play through the pain until his collision with the FF kid just inside half court. Not sure if the collision added another layer of damage to the knee, but he looked in a lot of pain and wasn't putting any weight on it.
I just hate seeing a young kid hurt like that. That goes for Sledge also who also was limping badly.
We are a very different team without both those guys. Let's hope things aren't too bad.

Listening to Cluess' post game interview, it seems like DL3's status is uncertain. Think GuyF might have given us the kiss of death with his "Beamon is soft as butter" comment. :-)

Beamon gets hurt when the wind blows. Laury will be fine.

Very mixed bag tonight. Even though we won, I expected it to be a much easier win with a larger margin of victory, considering Fairfield is now 0-6 in MAAC games. The positives include the play of Bowman and English who along with Laury carried the team offensively. Nice to see Laury scoring effectively at the rim and hitting 5-7 free throws. Obviously I hope his injury isn't severe; however, he was favoring that leg on the previous play before he went down and having to be helped off the court really put a damper on the win. Good to see Isaiah Williams back as well; he didn't contribute much point-wise (2) but he did have 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and a blocked shot in 17 minutes. I was disappointed that Gomez only had one minute of playing time - I feel he deserved more based on his effort the last few games. Poole continues to frustrate me; he doesn't seem to have good hands and misses more close-in shots than he makes. The Gaels only committed 5 turnovers to 15 for Fairfield, but the Stags got a lot of 2nd and third chances to score thanks to their 13 offensive rebounds.

Is that confirmed? Any idea if he'll be ready for Sunday?

We knew going in that if DL got hurt for an extended period, this would not be a great team. Coach's face when discussing the DL injury says it all. Hopefully, he is going to be able to recover quickly. Good win and let's hope the injuries heal quickly.

I hope Sledge is ready to go. He has been playing well and his outside shot is dropping.

I hope Sledge is ready to go. He has been playing well and his outside shot is dropping. His ankle didn't look very good at the end of the Fairfield game.
