Chier Ajou is a 7'2" RD freshman....very athletic 5 who played at St. Thomas Moore with AJ English. Works hard... blocks shots and rebounds. Get AJ and Grasso on the phone with this kid.

Bad knee last year so he was playing catch up this year. He is cousins with Luol Deng.
I think he would only have 2 years left due to age.... if he had to sit one year.

Before Pelcher injured his leg he was averaging 13.7 ppg and was second in the country in rebounding with 11.8 rpg.

For the past 4 years we have had a basketball recruitment attraction far beyond that a small college with wanting facilities normally would have...It appears to me that we are losing a bit of that luster...I hope not, or is it the thoughts that run through the basketball part of my aging brain of why it may be so...Am I, or am I not concerned unnecessarily......

86, is he out for the year? Also, why recruit big men if we let one go that could have helped in the BYU game, why waste time looking at rebounders if we won't play them

86, is he out for the year? Also, why recruit big men if we let one go that could have helped in the BYU game, why waste time looking at rebounders if we won't play them Quinny, Manhattan, Fairfield and Canisius have all been able to recruit quality bigs. If we are going to be competitive, especially with the new rules in the paint, we need a couple of shot blockers who can rebound. Playing a point forward as a 5 and then letting him freelance at the point is not going to help us get rebounds. We need a true big who can get off the floor. I love Laury but he is not exactly going to leap out of the gym.

86, i agree but if he isn't going to play someone like that because it doesn't fit the offense why bother recruiting him? Is pelcher out for the year?
