Could someone explain to me who this widespreadpanic idiot is and what the hell he is doing on this board. If he is a friend of Guy's then I think it's time for Guy to look for some new friends. If it's all a big joke I guess my sense of humor doesn't extend to insults and the disgusting.

ESP, You mentioned Marin County, CA. Live in San Anselmo or San Rafael? Have family in Marin. Nice area. Shame what has happened with public schools and funding. Sister is involved with endless fund raisers. How about actually discussing hoops mixed in with the disruption. Are you up for that?

Sure, if any of you guys read the MAAC board, you'd see how transparent this all is.
I live in San Rafael - Peacock Gap Country Club. Most of the public schools are well funded by the parents. The middle school is the only trouble right now. Elementary Schools and High School are blue ribbon. We still haven't decided if were eventually going private after Elementary. I guess well do whatever most of the parents do within reason.

He's just some internet tough guy. Someone said he posts on the MAAC boards a lot. I don't have the time to read boards other than this one so I haven't seen him before. He's the kind of guy who in real life is the polar opposite of his personality on these boards. You'll see him at the games most likely real quiet sitting on his hands. Probably doesn't want any real confrontation. Probably couldn't handle himself without his keyboard in his hands. We've seen the type before.
Talk on the board is fun but it is cheap. If you really have hatred for us then go do something about it. Can't miss me. I'm more likely than not going to be at the next Siena game. I'm the 6'5, 300 pounder lurking in the stands. Maybe we can be friends.

More about me:
Grew up in Brooklyn. Went to Siena. Graduated with a Comp Sci Degree & a Marketing Degree (minor: philosophy). Ran the dog pound for 2 years.
Moved to SF. Went to Cal for Grad School. Graduated with MBA in 07, and IT Masters in 09. Married since '08. Two kids: 1 daughter (3), 1 son (10 months).
Bi curious with a heavy pain killer problem.
Guy's also sort of in my will.
I'm getting my doctorate at Georgia Tech through a company program and I REALLY wanted Siena to win, so I could rile you all up more... But that didn't happen , and I'm really feeling sad inside about it.

Iona wouldn't be happy to know its staff is picking fights on a message board (assuming you're staff - let's be real; you are). Oh, and I'm not anonymous. Tau, Guy, Bill, I86 , and a handful of others know who I am off the internet. So, like I said earlier -- this speculation doesn't work. Keep reeling though.

Aunt and Uncle live in San Rafael. Sister in San Anselmo. Always enjoy visits. Found interesting coincidence visiting wine country when we stopped at Yoakim Bridge Winery. Owned by brother of acquaintance who owns apple orchard here. Nice small vineyard which specializes in Zinfandel. Great meatballs. Always prefer the small places. Great memories as kid of time spent in remote areas in Mendocino. Cali is nice, but my ancestral roots in New England draw me here. Prefer snow over rain during winter.

You can go to the members section of this site and block him. That's what I just did. I come to these boards to read about Iona basketball and it's a shame that jerks like him don't know when to stop. It's fun to talk a little trash but at some point it becomes bullying. I'm guilty of taking the bait every now and then but I'm also capable of taking the higher road and ignore him. Clicking the block button does that. I'm not sure whether or not he can read this as a result of my blocking him but if he can just know I feel bad for you. Be a fan and that's it. I don't care what he has to say about this and I'm no longer interested in reading anything else he has to say on these boards ever again. Have a good life.

Actually, this is the first year since 2005 (when I moved here) where I actually missed the snow for about 3 seconds. Tahoe isn't far if I need to scratch that itch. I live on the East side of San Rafael, right on the water. Having grown up in NY/Nassau County, with a summer house on the North Fork, I can understand your affinity for the North East, but it's nice to be able to golf, or take my boat out 365 days a year. When you aren't confined to a 3 month period (boating), or 6 month period (golf), it surprising how much more affordable things like yacht or country clubs can be. I miss the Yankees, NY Pizza & Bagels, and sunrises. The wine country sort of balances itself out, since I spent summers in wine country on the North Fork... but you can't beat being 1-3 hours from Napa/Sonoma, Tahoe, Yosemite, Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, etc. Obviously, I am in tech, so I have to be close to Silicon Valley (work from home, but still have to be close), so my job demands me to be here, but I don't think I would go back, even if I had the chance. I think my ideal situation would be Cali from mid September to late June, and then the North Fork from late June to mid-September.
