Great to see the Gaels assert their dominance over a terrible Siena basketball team.

Good team win with Armand and English having off games. Don't know what the solution is but getting out rebounded 46-27 by Siena is unbelievable.

Nice win, really like the energy Williams bring, by the way where was the other Williams Britton? Noticed him missing and now realize he wasn't there Friday either.
Patsos is fun to watch, what a nut. Seems before each timeout he picks a different kid to get in his face. As crazy as he is Cluess is sort of similar in a less crazy way, seems he is always angry at some player, they shuffle in an out of his doghouse as the game goes along, certain players can enter the doghouse much more easily than others but they all spend some time there, even Sean today.
Overall I really liked the effort today, and you have to credit both the players and the coaching staff for that.
Also like the size of the crowd opposite the football game - very surprised, although a lot had to do with the incoming freshman family weekend, lots of them were there.
Last note: did anyone catch the little argument between bowman and English with a few minutes left in the first half? AJ went to apologize but tre wouldn't have it, Tre wasn't the same after. I am sure it was just a little in family fight that is going to happen from time to time.
Tied for first, this Maac race will be quite a battle.

If Isiah keeps this up he's going to have a huge impact. Really nice to see him return to the team and play up to his potential.

Greg not sure I agree, there was several second half situations where after a Siena miss Iona had 4 or 5 guys trying hard for the rebound against a similar amount of Saints and they just couldn't get the rebound. Laury really misses Taaj, if he could have one big tough guy with him he would be having a much better year. Hines is big but his game is more like a 3 than a 4 and he just can't help in the way the Gaels desperately need.

On a few occasions I saw guys either out of position or just standing while the ball sailed over there head. I will say, oddly, Laury was the exception. Only had 6 rebounds, but also had a couple of steals down low because he was fighting for the ball.

The good news is, according to our website we've already won Friday nights game against Quinnipiac 88-74.

Bowman, despite getting knocked down on the court 4 or 5 times today, really had a fine game. When he's on, like today, he is quite a weapon. Also Isaiah Williams played very well both offensively and defensively. I'm looking forward to a game when Bowman, English, Armand and Williams are all "on" draining threes; maybe we can exceed the 118 point game if that happens.

All the effort in the world won't help much if you don't box out.

First half, you got your Bowman X factor! Tre Bowman no longer an X factor, but a known factor. He's come up big for us many times, including winning the MAAC Championship game for us last year. Like Taaj this year, we are going to miss him in a big way next year! Nice win with AJ and Sean both having off shooting nights, IW quickly turning into the special player he was hoped to be.

The good news is, according to our website we've already won Friday nights game against Quinnipiac 88-74. Maybe Nostradamus predicted the game outcome in one of his quatrains (Century II, #19) "Newcomers (Quinnipiac), place built without defense (Iona's Hynes Athletic Center), Place occupied then uninhabitable..." I interpret this to mean that Quinny will visit Iona, but will find it to be inhospitable, and will lose an offensive battle with the Gaels.
