IW is certainly the "spark" for this team. His hustle and intensity sets the tone. His ability to disrupt does not show up as a stat. His hustle and length create pass deflections, take away good looks and changes pass angles. He is a major contributor even when not scoring. He is the type of player every coach wished he had on his roster. Most teams do not have an IW. Very happy Isaiah was able to return to the team after his hiatus. Thank you for your contributions to the Gaels. We look forward to your contributions down the stretch. Let's beat Manhattan!

I have to completely agree with you on this point, I'm very happy he returned and has brought his intensity everyday. He's the spark on this team, my favorite play with yesterday's game was when we were down by 1 and Marist was inbounding the ball, he stole it and passed to aj English to hit the 3 to take the lead again. That was a game changer because we never let the lead go again. His energy feeds off to other players as well, when he's diving on the ground other players now jump in. Truly was a great pickup by TC and the staff.

Next year he will assume a role that will really showcase his offensive skills. The best is yet to come with IW.... trust me on this.

Just a quick shout out to Super for his insights on IW and loyalty to him throughout the year. Must admit i was not a big believer after the early season drama but now I can't imagine where this team would be without him. His hustle and intensity has given our guys a new level of energy that carried us throughout the hot streak. Very excited about the future with IW playing more of a leadership role for the next two seasons.

When is the last time you seen a Iona player, especially at 6-7 block 7 shots in a ball game...That has been a missing art for the Gails for quite some time...He has a knack and super reaction to time the block a fraction of a second after the ball leaves opponents hand, therefore avoiding the foul......We have only seen the blossoming of Isaac, his potential IMO is immense...With Lawry, Williams, English, Amayo plus others who have yet reached full potential along with talented recruit possibilities we will be a very strong MAAC factor again this coming year.....
Aside......Watched the Wichita-Missouri State this afternoon...The shockers are a talented well coached team, but even though they will probably be in the lst seeded group, I would much rather play them (if we make the NCAA's) then some of those that are in the 3-4 group.....They play a very tight interior defense that is hard to penetrate, but invite the outside shot...If we are shooting well, I would like our chances....Also a glance at their schedule reveals that even though they have played a somewhat above average group, most of them are having off years...

He totally dominated with his athleticism and 3 point shooting. We really haven't seen him attack the rim. That will come. I think I mentioned to you on the bus in Dayton that I thought he had POY capability. (I am far from being an effusive person.) My best memory from last year was when I waved an Iona towel in his direction. He lit up and yelled: "Can't wait!"

Can't wait to see him on next year's team. If we can land cherry and a big to complement dl3 we will be a force to be reckoned with.

IW is going to be huge next year. But first he's going to be a standout in the MAAC tourney this season. The sky is the limit for IW.

As a guy who fills up the stat sheet, he reminds me of Hargraves, Soliver, Kirksay, and Timinskas and others that I'm forgetting. Can anyone help?

I am a little surprised that I have never seen his outside shot blocked. He brings it from down low. I think it speaks to his unselfishness, only shooting when he is open.

Good point Dan. Come to think of it I can't remember one selfish or ill advised shot that IW took all season long.
