Everyone should go onto icgaels.com and listen to the interview coach did with ESPN Radio earlier today. One of the few interviews you'll hear that actually gives you something new that you haven't heard before. When asked about his future at Iona coach said he was really happy here and would be thrilled to finish out his career at Iona and keep building us up at the mid-major level.

Remember when he was nervous in front of the media when introduced as head coach? He is now a superb interviewee. And an excellent representative of Iona College. Thanks, Coach. GO GAELS!

Great interview. Much more revealing than the one he did with Francessa. Not surprised by what TC said about staying at Iona. I believe that he is sincere. Everything I've read about him re his close family and NY area ties leads me to believe hat he will stay at least as long as his kids are in high school. Our only comp would certainly be the Johnnies...maybe The Hall because of his relationship with Lyons...Hofstra appears nailed down for a few years at least by Mihalich. Maybe I'm being naive because I want to believe he'll stay. Major $$$s from a larger program certainly would give one pause to consider. If TC stays which I hope he does, the concern would be Grasso leaving. Who could blame him at this point?

I hope Cluess stays here until he's coaching in his wheelchair that's what I think of the guy. He's one of the best coaches we have had here. But temptation will come his way again, what he has accomplished here is not going unnoticed. If he left for Hofstra last year I would have felt a little deceived, but if some large historic program came calling with big dollars its understandable. I don't think money alone gets him out of here; but a combination of history, prestige, and big dollars, and I think the basketball blood that runs in his veins couldn't resist; and who would blame him!
