I say this tongue in cheek, somewhat, but imo he played a big part in Manhattan winning. Consider our scoring for the three games, 94/75/68. And I know Manhattan plays good defense, but the other two schools don't. So I'm attributing our loss to fatigue. Playing three games in three days did us in. Or more importantly Billy Baron did us in. Now I know that Manhattan also had to play three in three, but they have a deeper bench and a much easier semi final win, 19 points over "Q". We squeaked out a three point, down to the wire win over Canisius, with BB missing a game tying three at the buzzer. So I'm saying the minutes our "six" had to play made a BIG DIFFERENCE in the performance. Especially in DL's foul shooting. His job of having to bring the ball up court on most plays also took a toll on his legs. And they say your legs impact your FT shooting. This was the minutes for the six Iona guys: Semi-final/Final IW (36/31) AJ (38/37) TB (37/39) SA (36/40) DL (26/31) MP (23/12)
For Manhattan, I looked at the minutes but didn't identify the players: (23/36) (26/26) (23/27) (25/19) (19/14) (24/21) (30/22)
Billy Baron made us work very hard in order to reach the finals, so for that reason, he's the Tourney MVP.

No doubt it was a big part of it. Playing 6 guys big minutes in a 3 day deal is rough.

A couple of weeks ago a really sharp guy on here, forget the poster's name, mentioned that a longer bench would help stave off fatigue in the St. Peter's / Monmouth games at home. I, I mean, he was informed that 20 year olds don't get tired. So, I think this is not a plausible theory
