When are they going to add a College Ladies Insider Tournament? There is a CIT event for the women, Fairfield was picked to be in it.

I honestly do not see the purpose for the CBI. The NCAA tourney is the obvious goal of every program. The NIT has tradition and you have to win your league to get an auto bid or have a winning record and a pretty good season to get an invite. Also there isn't any buying of home games, although I do question their method of seeding after the way they screwed us with a 6 seed and are trying to guarantee St Chicken a date at MSG with their ridiculous 1 seed. The CIT at least you need a 500 record and there are some pretty good teams in it and rewards mid majors for good seasons, though I am not big on buying home games. the CBI has zero meaning or reasoning behind it. this year 16 teams where 3 have losing records. I don't blame Siena for playing in the tourney to get more games for their young team but honestly a fifth place MAAC team with a 15-17 record should not be getting invites to post season tournaments, never mind possibly playing all home games if willing to buy them.

I was comparing the RPI's of last years CBI and CIT and it seemed that the best 16 of the CIT were comparable, if not a little letter than the CBI, but they also had double the entrants and many of the bottom half of the CIT were with low RPIs. So, I would say CIT is more diluted.
