Jermaine Myers and the Fay brothers are all leaving. Their program is a mess. I guess they all wanted an opportunity to shoot the ball every now and then. With Severe there it will never happen.
It's amazing with the condition of their program that they are still able to get some good recruits. Paschall is considered a really good recruit. Ekwu is supposed to decide between Fordham and Davidson any day and they are still involved with Delarosa, a 6'10'' kid with good offers from the CHSAA.

It is apparent that Pecora can not develop players. Recruiting is one thing but developing players is another. This could be a move to make room for Ekwu.
I have to disagree. I think next year they will make a move towards the middle of the pack in the A-10. The one thing that was sorely lacking last year was a decent sized wing. This Paschall looks like the real deal. He brings to them exactly what they need. If he hadn't signed in the Fall he would have really blown up. A player who is really coming on late because of his age; he doesn't turn 18 until next November. He has a really high ceiling and Fordham really got a steal with him. Would have loved to see him at Iona, or, for that matter, STJ, because he is going to be really good. True, they lose Frazier, but they have Whitehead, Mandell Thomas, and lets see if the talented Severe can evolve into something more than the chucking guard he was last season. It's funny, because when I saw him play at Christ the King, he was very disciplined, as if he was being held back. Pecora did an excellent job coaching in the CAA, with Hofstra, so we know he is a good coach. Maybe he told him to play like that. If he could have more balance to his game they will be good. They have Rhoomes, Leonard, and Canty coming back so they will be OK under the basket. However, if they don't see 15 to 20 wins next year, I think Pecora is done. This is a very tough rebuild in a very competitive conference. I'm certainly not a Fordham fan; just calling it like I see it.

Have you watched any of Fordham's games? Their offense consists of flinging the ball around the perimeter two or three times before someone hoists up a long three or makes a desperate drive into the middle. None of the guards can shoot and Severe has a lot of trouble finishing on his drives. Sharing the ball just does not happen. Their defense is worse. Rhoomes is slow, Leonard even slower and Canty, who can move, is usually a foul machine, though he does periodically have a game with a lot of rebounds. Fordham does not have a lot of talent, but the real problem is that Pecora is a terrible coach. No one gets better under Pecora. TP won more games at Hofstra only because he had two guards that were NBA bound and ran the offense from the floor. And even though he had two players that made the NBA from Hofstra, Pecora never got Hofstra into the NCAA. Pecora's a VG bullshit artist, but he's a lousy coach.
Paschall is making a big mistake. Pecora is going to throw him in without coaching in an effort to save his job. Just like he did with Severe.
With Paschall to go along with Severe and Thomas (two off guards) and their three headed center they will only need a PG and a PF to be a descent A10 team. Granted I agree with 86 (and others) about Pecora's coaching abilities, and I'm just talking "on paper".

Fordham has been the "sleeper" in the A10 so many times over the year. Until they actually make a move, I expect them to be one of the bottom two teams in that league... probably along with Duquesne or George Mason.
Pecora is a truly horrible coach. Their offense is a joke. It's street ball.

Severe needs to pass the ball to open up his own game. I think Paschall is a good pickup as well but I wonder how frustrated he will be playing with Severe. I think Pecora put too much on Severe and the freshman did his best under the circumstances but I hope he brings Paschall along a bit slower to help him adjust. The only thing that will save Pecora is 18 overall wins and recruiting another BCS level recruit or two.... other than that I see him being canned.

This is so true and a lot of selfish players don't understand this. If you give the ball up, you'll get it back. It'll open up scoring opportunities for you.

How could they be a descent team? They are already at the bottom!
greg, sorry about that. They play the way I spell. But I think it's silly to base future results on their play this year. They put four off guards and a center on the floor, and gave themselves little chance to succeed.
P.S. greg, I think you should say that they are near the bottom.
