I agree, network tv and cable stations will be going the way of the dinosaur, digital distribution is the future, good move to get in early.

Not sure if this has been covered already, but the MAAC men's championship game will be broadcast on ESPN this year at 7 PM. Big coup for the league. First time in forever that I can remember the championship on ESPN and not ESPN2.

First time in forever that I can remember the championship on ESPN and not ESPN2. That was good to read, wish the semis could be on espnu, then I would be satisfied. Still feel a lot of local fans who would watch if on cable don't watch on espn3, but I do now see espn3 as a big part of future televised sports.

Big fan of the ESPN3 partnership for regular season, but kills me that tonight's game is not on cable TV. For us diehards it's fine, but the casual fan will not tune in. MAAC is wasting valuable opportunity. Have gotten calls from a lot of people who asked what channel the game is on, and as soon as they hear the computer only they lose interest.

I'm also questioning what's so "special" with the MAACs partnership with ESPN when the NEC and America East have essentially the same deal. Actually, the NEC has a better deal because their tourney quarters and semi's are on the MSG platform while they keep their final on ESPN or ESPN2.

I use AppleTV to stream to my tv. Other streaming platforms should work also.

Been saying this for years, the casual fan does not watch, although I admit it is getting better, with google chrome cast the game goes right to your tv and looks fairly good although at times if your internet connection is bad the screen fades or loses touch completely. Also now know a few of my more interested casual fan friends who do watch the games now because it is so easy if you have the right device like google chrome cast. But I agree why can the Nec have both? Also why can't ESPN put the semis on espnu?

there have been a few times during the season that they had games on ESPN news. No reason to not have the Semi finals at least on ESPN news

I use AppleTV to stream to my tv. Other streaming platforms should work also. I now use Appletv also. But I agree with the other posters that Ensor really screwed up with the semis not being on an ESPN cable platform like ESPNU or ESPN news. Overall, Ensor is a big problem for this conf. Ineffective and uninspiring leader. I would some to see someone with ambition and some fire in their belly as MAAC commissioner.
