I think it is safe to assume that Shamorie Ponds is no longer considering us. In his last interview with Zags he listed the following schools : Seton Hall, Temple, St. John’s, Oklahoma, Miami, Georgia Tech, Xavier, and Minnesota.

Jan Svandrlik is from the Czech Republic. A 6'6" SF is a good 3 ball shooter who also can get to the hoop and score while absorbing contact. He is athletic, hustles his ass off and has good hops. IMHO needs to work on his handle a bit. Is also a good defender. Was a member of the Czech U19 National team. If you guys remember the Staff had some members from the Canarias Basketball Academy at an Iona game earlier this year. This is very good as they are one of the top development programs in Europe and establishing a relationship with them now will pay dividends later.
He averaged 7.4 ppg and 3.4 rpg this past season at Indian Hills, which was loaded with talent including our own Jordan Washington. He also shot 46.8% from the 3.
This will leave us with three more scholarships to fill.

JucoReport.com @jucoreport 3h3 hours ago #JucoReportElite150 6'8 Jahleem Montague @jah_Jizzle Interest URI East Carolina Towson Iona Murray State Chattanooga
Jahleem Montague - 6'8" PF/C - From Atlantic City. Led his high school team to NJ Group IV titles in 2012 and 2013. He tore an his ACL his sophomore year and layer his senior on another slight ACL tear but he still averaged 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds last season. He was at his best in the postseason, averaging 12.7 points in 11 postseason games. His injuries hurt his offers so he prepped at the Robinson school. He committed to Morgan State after he averaged 17 points , 14 rebounds and three blocks at Robinson. He never arrived and ended up at Palm Beach State. He can run the floor and likes to play above the rim. Very strong player who is athletic, tough defensively, cleans up on the glass, blocks shots and can score down low.

From little I could penetrate the Iron Curtain Ref. Kerveli/Bigby the 6-9 6-10 player from England....Iona did offer him a scholarship back a couple of months ago...Since then he seems to have disappeared from the recruiting scene...This would be somewhat unusual as he is highly regarded...One tweet ''Kerveli needs to find a higher program then Gillette Jr. College''....Great Britain is not among the elite in Europe basketball, but he is always among the highest scoring and rebounding when meeting better.... Further research revealed he his a very rough player who will throw his elbows around quite aggressively... As they used to encourage with all investigations in the Detective Bureau 'Keep Digging' .

Denzel Smith - 6'7" SF out of Danville, IL. was an All State Class 4A Honorable mention selection (Illinois only has a 1st and 2nd team All State unlike other states that have five or six team selections so this would be somewhere between a 3rd or 4th team selection)... averaged 22.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game his senior year. Had one game where he had 39 points and 17 rebounds against Champaign Central. The kid is a tough slasher with a handle who can get to the hoop and draws a lot of fouls. Very good in transition. Averaged 12.4 pts and 4.7 rig at Wabash last season.
