OT last poll I saw I believe 85% of the American people did not want us to provide ground troops to fight ISIS in Syria or Iraq. With those numbers two weeks before an election, I don't see the President sending in troops.

[OT last poll I saw I believe 85% of the American people did not want us to provide ground troops to fight ISIS in Syria or Iraq. With those numbers two weeks before an election, I don't see the President sending in troops. [/quote] CTbill.........I am very curious where you got that stat...Please reference... I am not of this moment for the use of ground troops... The fallacy perpetrated on the American people that Air Power alone cannot destroy ISIS is without foundation and is used to deceive...We have as of now the most powerful air power in the world...and it would be used against a foe that has little if any thing to oppose it... In WW2 during the invasion of Normandy in France, it took a few weeks, but the Allies gained full control of the air...Not a German tank, gun, motor vehicle, motor cycle or German soldier dared to appear above ground...They would immediately be destroyed from the air...The Allies advanced through Belgium where they were slowed at the city of Bastogne by heavy weather...The German Army attacked and had considerable success as our Air Force was grounded by severe weather...After a few weeks of stubborn defense the weather cleared, Air power took again to the skies...German ground forces fled in panic back to Germany......The war was essentially over.............................. Iraq a mostly a desert or open country where our Air Power without air opposition would have a field day with mostly in view opposition and particularly with the short Iraq border to cover.... The claim of 400 air strikes by 1 or two planes that are instructed to announce their coming and allowed to destroy only politically correct targets, is a pinprick designed to give a false impression to those that are uninformed... We are fighting a battle with one hand tied behind our back by Obama's misleading and misguided policies.

Why do you think Obama is picking the targets based on "political correctness?" By political correctness do you mean trying not to kill civilians? And what is Obama's motive to deceive us?

Couldn't find the 85% number. Closest thing I could find was that 70% of the rank & file military oppose a ground war. Recent polls appear to show more Americans in general inn favor of it, mostly republicans.

This is a little something especially for St.Louie Gail..................... There are aprox, 350 million people in the USA....In order to give a response, you found among them on You Tube what appears a fine group of about a dozen youths and you thought...'This will show OldTimer what this country is all about'' I would expect a more thoughful response from even a minor school student...It has little relativity expect to satisfy the urge to respond...To suggest that I am unaware that there are millions off fine people in our country is insulting... You can do better........... Yes, I can! By the way, you are very thin skinned for guy who can be so critical of others, including the President of these fine United States. Speaking of skin, why do you guys, Rush and your gang, spew so much hate at the man? Have you looked at your portfolio growth since 2008? Take another look at those 2008 Newspapers! Dozen youths? What about the dozen Iona BB players you say you enjoy visiting on Monday afternoon? Can we not also add the dozen or so young women who also suit up for Iona? There are many more where they came from. I did not find that young dozen on Youtube. I put them on Youtube - just for you. You see, it saddens me to read about a guy who has given so much and is now unable to see the shining light. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Tv12QREv94 "To suggest that I am unaware that there are millions off fine people in our country is insulting..." And many of them live in Ferguson!

As the disruptions in and around Ferguson enter there 2nd month............
Last night rhetoric targeted white Democrats claiming they were not doing enough to help black problems......
Time to bolt all doors St.LouieGail....
Also...I have yet to receive a answer to my E Mail to the Munition Dept. inquiring how is the progress on those Anti Civilian shells that will have a sensor on them that will allow them to detect and avoid striking the intended target.....
I can't wait for the season to start and help keep me from my compulsion to respond to such ''Pie in the sky'' lunacy.....!!!!!!!

Before all you 'Bury your heads in the sand' posters are allowed to uncover them and re-bury them into the sands of Iona basketball.......
Do you still believe that the Oldtimer is a 'Fear Monger'' and the world has never been better...and into Obama's realm of, We have yet to discover enough evidence to call it ''Terrorism'...
I know, I know its Iona Basketball time, why are we talking about such drivel...

Which again is why I felt you deserve better.
