If/When I have the opportunity to s/w TC, these would be my first four questions: 1. The health of Kelvin Amayo. Is he fully cleared to practice, and if not now, when? 2. Daniel Robinson. See question #1. 3. How is Vangelis Beebis fitting in? 4. Most improved player since the end of last season?
SID, any chance that you could collect questions and publish them in an, "Ask TC" type blog?

1. I'd like to know his opinion on the money grab the BCS football conferences are pushing and how that could destroy mid-major college basketball as we know it today.
2. Aside from talent, what are the top 3 attributes you look for in a recruit.
3. How confident are you about the school having a home court like Stony Brooks?

Cjb, you could address question #1 and #3 to Rick Cole. I would think that he's be in a better to answer them.

Guys. The home court is coming. It's not if, it's when. And no one can answer when.

ic59, good luck on getting any information on health of players from the coaching staff or college. My impression continues to be that we will get answers when we get the answers. On positive note there are the very upbeat comments by Coach Cluess at the MAAC Coaches meeting. Tim Cluess is not known as being overly optimistic so his comments have me very hopeful. Patience. We are getting close to the start of the season. Most of us are like kids anxiously awaiting Christmas morning. Expecting some great surprises this season. Waiting to see who steps up and is the vocal leader of the squad. AJ English? Isaiah Williams? This is the issue I am a little concerned about. Not sure who will assume the leadership role for this squad. This is a role that is key to the success of every team. We have been fortunate the past 4 years that we have had individuals who readily assumed the role and were not reluctant. I truly believe the coaching staff has been grooming somebody this past year to assume the role this year. Just curious who that is.

I would ask him if he prefers Halle Berry or a Pam Anderson type.

I would ask him if he prefers Halle Berry or a Pam Anderson type. Or Walter Berry or Kenny Anderson

Husker, reference info from coaches as to the health of players. Naturally, they won't go into details, but I've always found that they'll answer when you ask, "Is ------- able to practice, or is he just limited to shooting on the side?" It really depends on how you phrase the question.

My question for Coach Cluess is........ With Casimir the heir apparent to the point guard position, and the more then capable English and Amayo also able to play it, what was the reason to recruit Ibn Muhammed, who can only be used at point guard?..... I also find it puzzling that Muhammed allowed himself to enter into a position where his playing time is negligible when it appears he is good enough to find his need elsewhere.....

When we recruited Mohammed, it occurred to me that he's a good player for practice, who can mimic Casimir with the second team. Same size, quickness I assume. You can interchange the two in practice if they are very similar players, or others around them if the two teams are playing Iona v. Iona type scrimmage.

will be interesting to see how Muhammad fits in. I spoke to a AAU coach from the DMV who remembers him from HS and playing for team Takeover, which is considered one of the better AAU programs. He felt Muhammad was a good fit at the MAAC level. He also had some pretty solid JUCO numbers. 176/98 TO ratio with 41 steals and shooting 46%. If he can translate his JUCO numbers to Iona similar to IW, he may earn some PT
