We don't need a cancer. Don't care how well he can shoot a three.

Severe was a great high school player and he was an All Rookie selection last year. So, based on the coaches in the conference he was an A10 level talent. Just my opinion, but I think he was asked to do too much from day 1 and with their awful history he seems to have just crumbled under that pressure. He was also given the keys to the kingdom and a GREEN light to shoot from day 1, so that was what he did. That probably encouraged a selfish attitude and it should have been controlled or dealt with but that was Pecora's responsibility so you can't totally blame Severe. By the way, I watched their game against UMass Lowell and they were awful especially after the first seven minutes where it looked like they might run away with the game.
I don't remember the specifics but Pecora was interviewed and a comment was aired before the game about "coaching up". Based on their fans it does not appear that he's coached any of his FU recruits in five years. The Ram faithful are all waiting for him to be shown the door. I do not envy the next coach that takes the helm in Rose Hill. The Ram fans mentioned Cluess and Grasso but I get the feeling that they don't think TC is the answer. I think that if TC leaves it will be for a much better opportunity.
Now, I don't know whether or not Severe would be a fit at Iona, but that would be up to the coaches to evaluate. They know what they are doing and I trust their judgement.

Careful with the Severe bashing. Might regret it if he ends up in maroon and gold. Also, give the kid a break. He was sold a bill of goods on Fordham which never panned out, and he has no seasoned talent around him, which forces him to be a chucker. Put him in our system with the pieces we have and he is a first team all-conference player by year 2. I have no idea about this kids character or make up. Watching him play though, I would agree with your all- conference statement.

Severe has taken a leave of absence from Fordham for personal reasons.

Canty last year and now Severe this year. That program is an absolute mess. John Wooden couldn't fix it.

I swear when Pecora gets canned I'm applying for the Job, they are so clueless that I like my chances!

We have a scholly available for Paschal? I know Paschall is a very talented kid. Game I saw he looked out of shape and out of condition. He was settling for threes it appeared because he just didn't have the energy to keep taking the ball to the hoop. Best talent on the court. One of the least effective players. Kid needs to be coached or he won't develop. He didn't consider us while in High School. I don't see how he considers us now. He could stay in the A-10 but I'm not sure what the intra-league transfer rules are regarding eligibility. Right now it appears that he's headed to be another Chris Gaston at Fordham. Very talented player on a bad team that never really gets to play in a meaningful game. And perhaps he's ok with that. It will be interesting to see what happens with Severe. Why would he stay until the spring? Why wouldn't he transfer at the end of the semester. He has to have feelers out there. Have to think a lot of programs that need shooters would consider him. Wake Forest immediately comes to mind as I believe they recruited him hard two years ago. Rutgers also. Those, unfortunately, are bottom feeder programs also. But I suspect they would take him baggage and all.

Really bad news for Fordham would be returning to the Maac. Not losing a player....

Really bad news for Fordham would be returning to the Maac. Not losing a player.... Short of another extension of Pecora's contract, the worst news for Fordham is that they are still in the A10.
