I thought that scoring went down as you get into League play and go against teams that know you better?

Yeah but most don't have talent or coaching.

Something to think about...
How good would it be if this game was scheduled at MSG rather than Fayetteville, AR?

This kid Bobby Portis is going to be a handful for us. 6'11 soph averaging 17.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and already tabbed as an NBA player. He tore apart a very good Larry Brown coached defense. Think we will need to throw two bodies on him every time he touches the ball (IW and DL3?). m.youtube.com/watch?v=OZSJbcrWE34

I think we will see different zones and pressure man utilizing the defensive skill sets of who we have on the floor and the foul situation. Coach Cluess in the past has shown different looks to try to keep the other team off-balance a little. I like the strategy especially early in the season when teams are still developing. I personally would like to see pressure man to start to make it difficult for Arkansas to get into their half court sets and hopefully create turnovers and fast breaks. Best bet is make Arkansas work on the defensive end and speed them up. This will be a great challenge playing a talented big and should give insight on how Iona will play a taller team like Manhattan. I feel fouls will be an issue and Hines with Robinson will need to play some meaningful minutes. This might a great opportunity for Daniel Robinson to show his defensive skill set and finally shine. Really looking forward to seeing how Arkansas plays defense against Iona. Hopefully the 3's are dropping and then David Laury can go to work with the floor spread. It should be fun. Really looking forward to it as I get the SEC Network on DIRECTV. GO GAELS!

From their fan site after NT game:
"That team we played tonight could quite literally beat half the teams in the SEC right now. Maybe not quite half but you get my point. Iona is even better. We better be ready Sunday or we will lose."
"'I'm definitely scared of Iona. They're no pushover. Hopefully the crowd will be there."
"Iona is for real. If the game is tight down the stretch and the players need a pick up, the crowd needs to be there for them.
We're a top 25 team, let's show up for them."
"I love watching Iona play. They have a great style and are a very dangerous team. I expect a high-scoring, fun game on Sunday. And of course, we're hoping Iona wins the MAAC to boost our resume, because the MAAC champ will have a pretty good RPI."

Simply put this is our at large game. Base on comparative scores we have a chance.

Simply put this is our at large game. Base on comparative scores we have a chance. We certainly have a chance but this is going to be very difficult. Especially playing in their place. I'm guessing the students are home for the weekend so maybe there will be a bit less energy in their building. This is a very good, tournament bound team, with a NBA big. They like to pressure, I'm thinking we'll see a lot of Mohammed and Cas bringing the ball up. Good environment for these guys to get some experience and hopefully have some fun.

I would've liked Iona's chances a lot better if they won by 2pts the other night. While the 126 pt performance was wonderful, it was an advance warning for Arkanas to be ready! Hell they have posters on their board referring to Iona as a great team! Unfortunately, Iona isn't going to sneak up on anybody after what they did Wednesday night.
