Simply put this is our at large game. Base on comparative scores we have a chance.
There are several RPI polls...Looking at all the latest I could find, we run from NO. 13 to NO. 23...Arkansas usually runs 3-5 spots better...Its a hard game to make a line on especially with the diversified matching team scores... Wild guess.....Arkansas with a 3-4 point court advantage would be IMO a 4-6 point favorite...If we can manage to control their height advantage I like our chances...Would be a terrific chance for Robertson to finally arrive, especially defensively.....If we can hold them to the low 70's or below its a victory...As to pressure.....We our playing with house money, they are gambling with household money...
I'm going to guess that Ark will be an 8-10 point favorite. Rooting my arse off for The Gaels. Will be watching the game and specifically looking at our players body language and how we play down the stretch. One of the posters on the Hog board mentioned Iona has never seen pressure like they will on Sunday. That may be true, but I feel Ark will want to run at 100mph and Iona 120mph. The faster the better! Look for Ced, AJ, and IW to have many deflections. As for another message on our board which mentioned a zone defense, I agree, however the pace may be so quick that the only time we are able to set up a zone will be off of dead balls and coming out of timeouts.

Simply put this is our at large game. Base on comparative scores we have a chance. Good way of looking at it.
Although one could say that for every game, this one carries more weight and could represent the signature win needed for passing any "eye test" they might have to pass.
Gaels need to keep this game close and not get deeply behind - though they can score in bunches, I wouldn't characterize Cluess's teams as strong at coming from behind.
AJ, DL3 and IW have been in big time games before, win or lose I want nothing less than their A game.

Fouled out in 15 minutes with 6 points & 6 boards against North Texas at home in 89-73 win. Apparently he didn't understand my post, he was supposed to save this for tomorrow. +1

I make the Hogs -12, and ESPN agrees with me.

Severe....From what I observed, it was easy to see that Fordham was not his cup of tea...My son-in-law who coaches at NRHS, last year told me he was the finest can't miss High School player in the Metro area...I wish him a fresh start next year under the control of a firm taskmaster....

OT, how could you post such a thing? ESPN always calls and asks what I think. (Smiley Face)
