I do not post on the Siena board, but I know they frequently visit ours so here goes... There is little doubt that this is the lowest point of their fan enthusiasm, but the ''Chickens have come home to roost'', and they have themselves to blame.....They after winning the lowest rating after season tournament of losers in college basketball entered into dreamland...Suddenly their team became the toast of the MAAC...Even though their team was filled with mediocrity, they wanted so much once again to be big dog of the MAAC and beyond lost all sense of basketball reality... There are fans up in Albany that are basketball wise, but they to entered and were carried along into never-never land and mass hysteria... When beaten by cross town Albany who they looked down at, suddenly there appears to be a attempt to re-enter real basketball world....I hope so...Siena has much to offer the MAAC and basketball world....

Siena plays 15 home games at their home court the TUC.....Although Univ. of Albany is only a stones throw away the only game they play there is the one against Siena...Yet they seem to think that they lost their game because Albany's fans and cheer leaders had the audacity to attend the game which took away Siena's home court advantage...
On second thought they are probably right as they have one of the nations largest home court advantage in Las Vegas betting circles.....
In another post I said we are two wins away from the four plus year 100 win mark...In that same period Siena has won barely 40.....

Why are we even talking about Siena? The same goes for Fordham and St. John's. It appears many have an ax to grind. I don't get it.

I find the Siena-Albany banter pretty funny. The Albany coach even had the nerve (and I believe that's correct) to play a game at the Albany gym. Many Siena fans think the answer is to just drop Albany from their schedule. Don't feel they gain anything when beating them. They do beat them at times, don't they? (SF)

Why are we even talking about Siena?
Because this is a open Basketball Forum....... Because Siena is a basketball team...... Because they are in the MAAC... Because we have talked about Siena for years.. Because they are a traditional foe..... Because many are interested in such banter... We would quickly become a boring place to visit if we would play only ''Follow the leader'' and those that trail blindly behind...

Why are we even talking about Siena? Because this is a open Basketball Forum....... I will try to keep that in mind, and YOU? ? Because Siena is a basketball team...... Agree! Because they are in the MAAC... Reluctantly, on their part! Because we have talked about Siena for years.. You have. Because they are a traditional foe..... Disagree! Manhattan, St. Peters, are traditional foes Because many are interested in such banter... I have no interest in anything about Sienna, other than we beat them. Too many interesting things going on in SEC, A10, Ferguson etc. to waste any time on Sienna. We would quickly become a boring place to visit if we would play only ''Follow the leader'' and those that trail blindly behind...
Where are the separate threads on Canisius, Fairfield, Manhattan, Marist, Monmouth, Niagara, Quinny, St Peter's, and Rider? When we start separate threads on Siena, we feed their egos no matter what is contained in the thread. Their fan base is delusional enough as it is.

I find this analogous to the Yankees - Red Sox rivalry. If you listen to talk radio in New York, when Yankee fans call in they talk about the Yankees and their problems. If you listen to talk radio in Boston, when Red Sox fans call in they talk about the Yankees and their problems. Let's be the Yankee fans. with the exception of when we play them, I could care less about the taints.
