Was told, yesterday, that Much has had a couple of "wow" practices. We still need a "Big", but we will have a number of offensive players, next year. And if Amayo gets the extra year (hopefully), we'll have him after AJ and IW leave. Agreed. As of today looks like next year's starting 5 will be. AJ Casimir Amayo IW Bessick Much (first off bench) Hines Bebis Ibn

Forgot about McGill. Wow. We will prob add another impact transfer or two, so definitely premature to think about next season.

The new players and any transfers we get will be a bonus. This team will be heavy favorites to win the MAAC again.

Agreed it's premature to think about next year's roster, but it shows the tough decisions the coaching staff has to make concerning recruiting. Counting McGill, that is a very solid ten man roster. I feel a PF type (Juco?) is needed for next season to help replace DL'S rebounding. The question is what to do with the last scholarship. Does the staff use it on the best available player they can get a commitment from? or do they hold it for a possible impact transfer that would have to sit next year, but be eligible for the following season to help replace Ibn, AJ,IW and possibly Amayo if he doesn't get the waiver? thoughts?

tiger, all I was told and said, was that Much has had a couple of "Wow" practices. What makes him different is his lack of success at Buffalo, and questions why we would take/want him as a transfer. But I can see why other MAAC fans hate us. They are trying to get through this year, and we are looking two years down the line. Reminds me of the old Johnny Cash favorite, "I hear that whistle blowing .......................".

I will agree that we do find some diamonds in the rough (seems like more often than any other team in the maac) ...maybe its our system under clues? some guys just fit and some just don't (Dublin)

My observation is that Coach Cluess and his staff develop talent better than the other programs. They seem to find players who have certain physical skills and basketball talents who are willing to be coached and they can develop. Those who seem to not fully commit themselves to the process have transferred out. So far he has helped almost every player reach their full capabilities. Hopefully they can get more 4 year players like Sean Armand and AJ English. Very excited about what we will witness with Schadrac Casimir over 4 years. I am assuming that Deshonee Much realizes what can happen as a transfer at Iona College and is pushing hard to make a positive impression on Coaches and teammates. I wish him the best. Dublin is an anomaly as I feel that he was brought in to fill a very specific need and that was to add physicality and depth to the front line due to foul trouble and/or injury. I still feel he will be valuable as a physical presence facing Manhattan's front line.

I gotta think Dublin is going to play a huge role at some point this year, key rebound, hoop etc. As well as Casimir, we should be encouraged by Bebis. Ton of potential
