Tau, I must have read the same game announcement as you. Sitting home looking forward to tonight's game; glad I checked the website, at least I could listen to the game. Go figure!

Good defensive effort and 8 rebounds from Hines. I'll take that any day.

Nothing like home court. Glad they played well today with contributions from Ryden Hines on the boards and Kelvin Amayo on Brett Comer in the second half. Hopefully taking care of the ball and some of the energy from today carries over to the upcoming road games. Key stat was only 7 turnovers. That highlights focus and discipline by the team. Just wish the free throw shooting was more consistent. Great game and good way to go into the holiday break for players and staff. Hopefully the team can get on a roll before conference play. Merry Christmas!

Yes it was good to see Hines get all those rebounds, we need that going forward. Good to see Cluess get meaningful minutes out of his bench. Robinson didn't get in and I am thinking they now are hoping to red shirt him.

Nice Christmas gift for the fans, solid defense and as usual efficient offense. Hines with plenty of minutes was a huge help against a big team inside. Nice to see,

LOL I always get a kick out of how there are fewer posts after a win.
The D was the star today, though AJ was great offensively in the first half.

With Hines in there you have someone who helps out the other 4. In his post game interview he said that he will play whatever the coach wants. I get the impression that he is a hard worker in practice so he deserves a shot. If he can rebound and play defense we are golden. You could see that he was more comfortable today. Points will come but should not be his primary focus. I think he can make this team better.

Everybody always overreacts after a loss. The type of team we have will drive you crazy at times because of the style they play. However it seems like Cluess is quietly working his rotation into form for conference play. I like the idea of Hines starting. He had a number of wide open shots that I was hoping he would take but I don't think he felt comfortable pulling the trigger. Can't wait for the conference play to get in full tilt. By the way any news on our new transfer?

Hines probably earned the start from a good week of practice but I also think cluess did it because he wanted to be bigger and because he wants to keep Amayo out of foul trouble ( similarly to how he brought Laury off the bench last year).

Good defensive effort and 8 rebounds from Hines. I'll take that any day.[/quote] After he gave his after game interview, I made it a point to tell him that is the type aggression off the boards that will help cure one of our biggest needs...He gave a big smile and said ''Thanks I'll be trying hard'' His improved rebounding occurred because of more effort and inside positioning... We had been a moderate range home advantage team, but this group appears at its best within the friendly confines of Hynes...It seems to gain advantage by fast start intimidation..... Now lets take care of less then par Drexel at their home this weekend to make it a 7-3 record and a shot at a 8-3 final OOC stat----Even with a loss a 7-4 record would have been very acceptable OOC at season start........UMASS has not been overly impressive lately...
