Still will depend on opponent. Many MAAC teams play 3 guards, so I'd still start Amayo in those games.

Two of our most complete games in the last 2 seasons were against this team.
Selfishly, would love to see the series continue--maybe add a game in FL with USF, now coached by NYC-connections Orlando Antigua.& Rod Strickland.

Super, I was at the game with the family and said that exact thing. Probably their two most complete games of the past two seasons were against FGCU.

We play probably our best and most complete game against a good team.....
Yet there are those faultfinders who would find ''Pimple on a Elephants ass''...These are those that have a hidden vendetta regarding Iona, or by those that have a compulsion to play on both sides of the street and wait for him to play one of his lesser games to criticize and gloat....
A.J. English scored over 20 points in the 1st half and destroyed the will and any thoughts F.C.G. had of victory.....He was the ''Best player on the court'' by any fair minded basketball fan.
To those that seek and use the guise of perfection should look to a higher place then the confines of Hynes or this basketball world.......

Ot, there is no vendetta against aj, he is a good player, that had a good game, the players he guarded yesterday scored more than him and they avg half the amount of points, but I guess you can only see one side of the court I have never said he wasn't a good player, I said not great if you think he is one of the top 5 players of all time good for you, but you are the one who keeps bringing it up and posted it in the wrong thread when aj doesn't force the play he is the best offensive player on the team, what a couple of said was he needs to work harder on everything to be a top player of all time I go to way more games than most and travel with the team and might put a $ or 2 on the team, so I don't root against them, but I guess you can believe whatever you want but I support aj and the rest of the team and I hope he gets drafted after next year and plays in the nba for 10 yrs

For the record, I was there and we won. On to Drexel!
Just a reminder...Drexel will probably be Cluess 100 victory at Iona. It took him a little over 4 years...I wonder if its some kind of a record for a first term as Div. 1 coach... I have knowledge that there are members of this team visit our board...I hope they are inspired to come out with ''Fire in their eyes'' and put Drexel away early..... As a aside......Does anybody have any info about the aprox. 6-10 light skinned B/M who was sitting on the bench, and came out with the team for our National Anthem.?

Tough break to have to play a marquis home OOC game like this on a Tues afternoon before Christmas. Hopefully we can get the W. Here's how FGCU breaks down as of today: Record: 7-2 RPI: 88 Key Wins: UMass, UC Santa Barbara Losses: Green Bay, FIU did you see FGC Rpi dropped to 120, usually on the road it never drops that far

That might have been Bessick
Much to tall to be the kid from Buffalo...Was slightly taller then Hines from side by side viewing...Probably was Bessick....... Thanks Fellow's............Merry Christmas to all from ''Old grouchy'' For my Christmas present to all.....A attempt not to post in my usual controversial manner for the holidays.....By way of explanation.......... I come from a long ago generation...It was a terrible depression time...No jobs and absolutely no money...We had to find ways to amuse ourselves....A great part of that was gatherings and arguments over sports...They very rarely ended with any animosity and produced rare ''Tender Toes''.....With necessity we became quite good at that type banter...For identification purpose we would say if they happen to have the same first name ''You know---Pete the Yankee fan''. That would do the trick.... As time went by that adversarial ways never left me...So try to understand, it is part of life's historical makeup...and no harm intended

OT - you owe no apologies to anyone in my opinion. I hope to read your comments for years to come. Thanks for all your service to this country and to your community. You have certainly earned the right to express yourself. Merry Christmas to you and to all the posters on this site - except for the few trolls, and they know who they are.

OT, in my bridge club there is a gentleman who is 102 years old. He is far and away the best bridge player in the club. I have been playing for about 20 years, well short of the 80 or so years he has been playing. He is quick to point out the errors of his partners or opponents. Some would call that crabby. But I listen carefully, because he has so much to teach. Every time I play with or against him, I feel privileged, knowing I am learning from the best. OT, you do the same for me on this board. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
