The Griffs have shown the value of having a good coach. I thought that losing their top two (three?) players would doom Canisius to being a lower half MAAC team this year. Jim Baron thought differently, and his team is now 7-4. And 2-0 in the MAAC, playing Monmouth and Manhattan at home, this weekend. Are they for real, and if so is it just because of their HC?

HC wins because he has players who can play as a team. Coach Baron has won everywhere and expect him to have Canisus competitive year to year, but this year a little surprise with new roster. We need this for MAAC. Baron one of the good guys and I wish his program the best. I feel that Niagara and Canisus road trip a great test for team. Success there builds confidence for season.

He probably makes adjustment, game plans and gets the most out of his players. You know sharpshooters can only do so much. Eventually the infantry needs to show up.
