Please see poll and vote once. No Mayor Daly Chicago politics.
This poll assumes Fordham would play us.

Lets make an effort to play every local team including LIU and Stoney Brook. Iona should host a "King of Metro NY Tourney". Those who don't attend will look bad.

Please see poll and vote once. No Mayor Daly Chicago politics. This poll assumes Fordham would play us. This poll also assumes that Iona would agree to schedule Fordham, which I think is ridiculous. Iona has no reason to give Fordham a game. Our RPI would drop just by playing them. Until Fordham starts winning games regularly, we'd be nuts to schedule them. No upside at all. I'm all for the quality NYC area programs playing each other, but that means SJU, SH, Iona, Manhattan and probably Hofstra. Fordham has been a dead program for 20 years. They simply don't merit serious discussion.

That's the attitude that keeps programs from playing each other. RPI is just dumb and a good RPI might have got us an at large which we blew anyway.

Let's get Fordham on the schedule. The brawls in the stands are much better competition than this nonsense

How can we complain about media coverage when apparently we only have 16 fans. I know there are more out there. Time for everyone to be accountable. Time for everyone to stand up!!!

Many on Fordham Board state that Fordham has "moved on" from the Iona rivalry. Moved on apparently to UMass-Lowell, UMES and South Carolina State. Would be nice for the old guys who remember it, but at this point I say screw those 20-year RPI anchors.

Would be nice for the old guys who remember it, but at this point I say screw those 20-year RPI anchors. That's just from a couple of numbskulls over there trying to save face. They claim that Fordham, for institutional purposes, wants to align itself with institutions similar to Fordham in size, resources, national reputation, etc., even with respect to sports scheduling. And Iona doesn't fit that institutional profile. Doesn't hold water as they completely neglect to point out that Fordham plays Iona in sports other than men's basketball, and other institutions with a lower profile than Iona. Just a jab at anyone from Iona posting there without having to admit the reason reason, i.e. they don't want us kicking their ass. They'd get out of the Manhattan rivalry if they could too. The comment I enjoyed the most was "This year is about wins." Isn't every year about wins? Why is this year any different? Because the coach needs wins to keep his job? Man if you could just get a honest response from some of the posters on that board I think it would help everyone understand what they are going through.

The fact that we have a thread dedicated to Fordham is embarrassing. Bill should be banned for starting it.

I'm extremely happy with the success of our program under the Cluess era. The best in the metro area over time. He has also accomplished it under difficult circumstances considering our facilities. I'm sure that a number of other programs would give their left nut to have our success. Let's Put a period on the Fordham issue.
