I was there too- first half was a beautiful thing. Always believed Jeff should have pulled Wachsmann out to the foul line - top of the key. Stay away from OHIO![/quote Too bad games aren't 20 minutes long ?. As my memory serves, I believe we were up by 4 or so at the half. LSU made the proper halftime adjustments and blew us out in the second half. Big Baby and that lanky kid many were projecting as a lottery pick were unstoppable after the halftime break. I still think our best legitimate chance to win a tourney game was the Ole Miiss loss. We matched up great with them. Just needed a few breaks at the end. Syracuse was another deflating loss. Java, You were not at UPenn, Georgetown, UVa or Loyola-Chicago--all very winnable prior to the aforementioned.

Final score was 80-64, but it was not a blow-out. 60-57 with 6 minutes left, but we were completly shot at that point. Don't know that I've ever seen a team look so defeated in a 3 to 6 point game as that team was betwen the 6 and 5 minute mark. I knew at that point it was over.

Java-Had a chance to win Georgetown game--missed last second shot; Had a chance to win Loyola-Chicago game--missed last second fts--just as against UVA--Trust me--all of those were especially painful!

Will never forget Cuse game. We were the better team that day. Still don't think any team in past two decades can stack up against the '98 team we had. Hopefully this year's team proves us wrong.

Super, that looks about right. Those Ruland teams were very special. Looks great. Think the at-large team was better than the 01 team, but splitting hairs really.

i feel there is a chance of an at large potentially but would be tough if we win out and lose in the finals. the odds of an at large for us at the moment are 23.7%.
