Odds now 29.5% at an at large. Keep winning it keeps going up Won yesterday and it went down--28.6%--think it must factor in other teams in similar situations. [/quote Also Iona only one by one against them and the spread was like 8 or so, so although they won it moved down like one percent because didn't win by much. also i feel like site takes everything into consideration meaning when cleveland state beat green bay it went up 3-4% but yesterday cleveland state lost to a bad team so that could've also affected the numbers. like i believe it may go up a bit again if delaware state can now beat a decent norfolk state team which is on ESPNU

FGCU down to 105 in RPI. Wake is at 125 and plays Virginia at home tomorrow night. Cleve St. at 130. Not much of a chance for them to get into the top 100.

First time I've let myself look into these brackets a bit more. Yes, I'm very confident we'll win in Albany.
I love that Bracket Matrix site. I almost commented on the one bracket that still has Iona as a 16 seed.
I admit we're closer to a 12 seed than I thought. Likely need 1-2 other mids to get upset--Wofford, Murray State, Valpo.

FWIW, some insiders saying they think we'll be an 11 if we win out.

I didn't think so but just noticed our rpi will be 24, so maybe.

USA Today now has us in the South Region's 4-13 game against Northern Iowa - first time I can remember seeing us out of the Midwest Region. I bet there are a couple of announcers who are hoping the Norther Iona vs Iowa doesn't take place

(Announcers nightmare)

Not that this is any more legitimate than a decent guess, but it is fun to see it gives us a higher shot at an 11 seed than a 13.

Don't want to put the whammy on things, but should there be a need for Iona to do a Selection Sunday viewing, I vote to do it in the HAC on the new video scoreboards.

Just took a look at bracketmatrix.com and we are on average (of about 100 brackets) the second best 13 seed despite an average seed of 12.79. Looks like we will be at the swing position between 12 and 13. 2 brackets have us an 11 and one idiot has us a 16. Live RPI has us at an RPI of 25 should we run the table. Would be tough to give a 25 rpi with 28 wins anything worse than a 12 seed no matter how little top 100 wins we have.
With all that said at this point all that really matters is the match up, we want to avoid the road game like Ohio state was and it would be best to meet a team that would not like our style.
As for achieving our goal of getting there the Maac tourney will not be giving us any breaks. Probably a road game to start, then a match up against the only two teams who beat us thus far and then maybe Manhattan. I feel like this team can handle this and should do it but just one bad game and a home NIT game is likely on the horizon as a 3 or 4 seed. This would be little consolation. Now is the time for this program to take the step up and win an NCAA game, this may be one of our best opportunities ever!
