Looks like Pecora is on very shaky ground if you consider the posts on the Fordham board. If he's fired, there may be some transfers out. I have to think Fordham would condition any release on the player not transferring to a local school such as Iona or Manhattan. But for discussion sake, are there any guys on the roster that would be a good fit for us? I believe we were recruiting Rhoomes heavily. Could use his size.

Rhoomes is a one dimensional rebounder; paschal is a poor man's DLIII; severe plays out of control for pecoras system but actually I think would flourish under cluess

Paschall has a ton of ability. He's got a great outside shot, he's got a strong body and can finish strong around the rim. Good FT shooter. Doesn't know how to play defense or understand the game yet but he's a Frosh.

Head case also. Definitely pass on him. Paschall is the best player on Fordham's roster and the only player that could get minutes at Iona.

Was at vcu and Dayton games. Agree tons of ability - no speed, out of shape, limited range on outside shoot, but takes ton of threes, doesn't handle ball as well as dl.

It is just my opinion but Pascal is a freshman and he's being forced to do an awful lot. I believe he's gotten the same ill advised GREEN light that Severe was given last year. Bad habits brought on by a bad coach. Under Cluess I think both would flourish. But, I think that Fordham would try to make a local tranfer out of the question. Problem is both kids stayed local because they wanted to stay closer to home. Handling this situation poorly would only make things worse for them. So, it is likely that they will not handle it properly. Regardless, I like how the staff is building the team. If we got one of the two I'd prefer Pascal but don't think he'd come here.

Rhoomes rebounds well but has hands of stone and is slow. Not nearly athletic enough to play for Cluess.

What about Canty? I think he'll be a graduate student next year. He'll be coming off of back surgery, but he should be able to transfer and play right away for a year. Wouldn't need a release. Big, athletic. Doesn't have much of an offensive game other than offensive rebounding and transition baskets, but he can run the floor and rebound well at 6'9". Might be a risk coming off back surgery though.
