I agree with Joebird. The Meet the Gaels (players rather than coaches) gives interested fans a chance to see the individual players in action as a team and to find out if "skill set" matches the "hype" we were led to believe.
If no Meet the Gaels. . .why not a practice date for interested fans?

So what's the reason for putting the kibosh on this (MTG) tradition?
Thoughts???

Believe there is a scrimmage during homecoming weekend that will be open to season ticket holders only.

It also seems no midnight madness or something similar, they have had those for several years as well.

Believe there is a scrimmage during homecoming weekend that will be open to season ticket holders only. You mean an internal scrimmage, of course.

I'm a season ticket holder, and I have received an invite from Tom Moran, who heads up Tickets for Iona. However, the invite was for Meet The Coaches, with nothing about a scrimmage. SID, what's going on?

We seem to be going through this same scenario with MTG the last few years.
I always felt it was a great way to re-engage fans for the kick-off of the new season.
I must be missing something because I'm really failing to find any downside with not even a hint of what it could be.
