That's insane. You will be disappointed at anything worse than 8-3. When is the last time we went 8-3 in OOC play, especially with a roster that is totally unproven and will take a while to mesh together? 05.........Now you are in for it...1700 has a pattern of obsession...It is over powering...Any thing that smacks with the least amount of criticism he deems as a insult and his revenge nature kicks in....He is also not the brightest bulb on the tree... old dirty you had a lot of problems typing that, you must have had a late night at the mtv awards

When is the last time we went 8-3 in OOC play, especially with a roster that is totally unproven and will take a while to mesh together? easiest schedule in cluess era, he is used to a changing roster, we have washington and much coming back and some players that we have high expectations for. drake, fdu, deleware towson and njit should be automatics at this point, so we need to go 3-3 against the rest with no exceptionally good teams. 70: 1. We have lots of new pieces that will take time to gel together. 2. This team is perhaps the worst of all TC's teams, at least on paper. 3. TC never boasts great OOC records. He usually uses OOC schedule to experiment and doesn't get rolling until conf play. 4. We have never had a record in the OOC schedule under TC as good as what you're expecting, with the exception of the at-large year. 5. Despite this year's OOC being weak, it still consists of lots of road travel and some painful trips like Alaska, Nevada, etc. Not sure why you're expecting 8-3, but I would say you're setting yourself up to be disappointed if that's your expectation.

Expectations are way too high for this team in the early part of the schedule. Can they challenge for the MAAC regular season and MAAC tournament titles? Absolutely, they have talent, but those games don't start until after the "preseason.'' The Gaels need to find the right combinations and a team identity before expecting wins over quality teams, and there are quality teams in the OOC schedule, even if they are not big-name teams. I would hate to see a slow start in the OOC derailing the team going into MAAC games. These guys will have to stick together through what will probably be a rough start. Overcoming a rough start, and I expect it will be just that with the lack of size and team unfamiliarity, will build character. The more character built, the more success that comes later when it will really matter.

My official predictions won't drop for another month or so, but 6-5/7-4 feels about right.

As I posted after watching some summer pick up games, that while I see a lot of talent, I have NO IDEA how they will do once the season starts, as there are so many new players. And with five good MAAC opponents, if we have 20 wins going into, or even after, the MAAC tourney, Iona fans will say, when speaking about TC and JG, "This was their finest hour".

Agreed 59. I would sign for 6-5 and 14-6 right now. 20-11 overall, probably good for an RPI in low 100s, and somewhere in the 2nd/3rd place range heading into Albany.

Lots of guard talent... we have to see how our bigs develop and if JW can stay on the court. This team will go as far as JW takes it and how willing and able other players are in assuming the roles that IW and AR filled last season.
Lots of chemistry issues... as long as the team is growing each OOC game and are ready to compete in MAAC play, I will be thrilled.

Good point 86,but remember good guard play is always key in the maac, size is always a bigger must in the major conferences.
