Have not posted much the past week or so.... Slipped from a towel rack...Had to go to Lawrence Hospital for Xrays and examinations. Swollen Tendon which when rubbing against bone...I very seldom give in to pain, but this was not a continuing pain but one when they met caused a extremely sharp pain that made me jump.......A slight shoulder separtion also which I am told will resolve itself in a couple of weeks...
I was offered pain killers which I refused... Tyonel and rest will do the trick....I am receiving a lot of admonishment from staff of the home along with a stern request to refrain trying to do so much for myself...But that is my nature, and it has served me well...
Looking forward to the season ahead and the 'Meet the Gails' day...

Thanks fellows........Since the fall have been feeling very weak and fevorish which caused some concern...
Last night while nurse was in she noticed and asked me what the bandaid was doing on my left shoulder...I then remembered the same day I had fallen I had received a flu shot...She then told me that my feeling ill was probably due to a reaction from the flu injection and had nothing to do with the fall..... I woke up this morning like a new man and ready for a round of golf...........

OT, just because it's now fall doesn't mean you should take it literally! -- seriously, feel better.

I was told by the Doc's that surgery is recommended only if you are a pitcher or a pianist (insurance company between me and my doctor). Still have to work with weights to maintain the shoulder integrity. I may go back and tell them I pitch for the Cards - Mets, maybe??.

OT- how are you?[/quote]Super
Fine until opening my mail...Found a bill from Lawrence Hospital in ref. a examination I received about 2 months ago....
I was at the hospital about 10 hours, but the actual time attended to me was no more then 1 hour...There were that day between 50 and 75 people in the emergency room...
The bill absolutely stuned me.....It totaled almost $8,OOO with the scat scan costing alone running $3,000...RIDICOLOUS...
I always dreaded investigations which primarily in volved money...The were at times a ''Tangled web'' which never seemed to end...
There are several reasons for the sky rocking health care cost, but a in dept National investigation is in needed to maintain some sort of control above fiancial matters and the amount of non-payment use...The emergency rooms have become 'Doctor Offices' where a simple 'Band Aid' cut is deemed a emergency..
Thank God my job provided good health insurance...
