I just came across Brother Lips obit. I had him for two stats classes and he was a good teacher. My first class with him was full of members of the football, rugby and hockey teams and he did not take an shit from any of us. One day I had overslept, jumped out of bed and threw on a pair of cut-off sweatpants and a champion sweatshirt that I had cut the arms off and a pair of a Converse Dr. J's. It was a very cold day in November... when I walked into class, one minute late, Brother Lips watched me walk to the back of the room and put my books on a desk before he asked me to approach him in the front of the class. He then proceeded to make me model ( a catwalk routine with complete spin) my outfit to the class as he explained what a keen fashion sense I had and praising me for taking the risks to make such a bold fashion statement. Of course, my buddies were howling like a pack of hyenas the whole time. Brother Lips never stopped ribbing me over that outfit. He was a tough teacher but he was fair. Rest in Peace.
The dates below were off as he was still at Hagan during my senior year in 1986.
