Old Timer -- down a bit, but not out for the count ...

Hi gang,

Old Timer's son TJ here. Reporting that Old Timer had a little fall on Monday this week and, with 93 year old brittle bones, ended up breaking his hip. (The OTHER hip, by the way ... he had broken a hip in June.) After uttering a few colorful expletives, he was taken to the hospital. The doctors performed surgery on Wednesday, putting old bits and pieces back in place with a few pins. The prognosis is good. He'll be in the hospital a few days, and then (perhaps) off to a rehab facility for a few weeks. He's already complaining about the food, of course ... and wondering if the Gaels will ever get their butt in gear.

So, do our family a favor and keep Old Timer in your prayers. The curmudgeon has fallen ... but he's hoping to get back up again.
