Quinny, Rider and Canisius all scare me. No one else does. Siena relies too much on Pickett and no matter how good he's been he is still a freshmen and the pressure is different now. I think he might try to do too much like he displayed in last nights contest. Quinny to me is the toughest matchup especially with a player like Young that can just take over a game.

Siena’s obvious weakness is transition evidenced by last nights game against Canisius. They have to keep it to a half court game. Once Malik Johnson started running it was all over. There is something about Niagara that scares me.

maacmaniac, I remember back when Burtt, Soliver, McCullough and Wachtsman were playing for Iona, it seemed that we were always losing in the tournament to Niagara and Joe Mihalich.

Niagara had some very strong teams under Mihalich. Believe they went to the dance 2X, and had some great players like Mendes, Alvin Young, Demond Stewart, Greene, etc.

Niagara is a weird team. I've seen games they played where they were really bad and then I saw them play where they looked like a top seed.

Yes, it is well known that Niagara is allergic to defense but I could see them being very dangerous in a track meet game in the 90's.

A PIG against Norfolk State could be very interesting. Though their season record is just 17-11, they have won 13 of their last 14 games, many coming back from large deficits, including a 24 point second half deficit in a game against Howard that they won 80-78.

Someone should confirm, but believe the NCAA has placed the MAAC in the 16 seed PIG twice before: once with Siena in 2002 and the other with Manhattan in 2015. Believe we are 1-1 in those games.

Thats def right. I remember Siena beat Alcorn St when that was the only PIG. I cant remember who Manhattan played a few years ago but they lost.

Niagara beat Florida A&M in 2007 play in, they should have not been in a play in that year.
