CTBill--imagine a message board for lawyers, watching you while you work. "Why the F would he make that argument??? Idiot." Yep I get it. It would be hard not to chuckle sometimes. And perhaps the most annoying posters would be those that say I have inside info as to why he made that argument, but I can’t share it. Which is about as useful to readers of a message board as a snowball is to an Eskimo. but i always give hints

"Our Coach" as opposed to Fran McCaffrey who was just suspended by Iowa for 2 games. He should be suspended by the Big Ten for at least two more games. There is no excuse for going after the ref off the court using vulgarities.

Maybe Fran's wife got a bad rap while Fran was at Siena, and Fran was the bad guy.

Lombardi trophy, Heisman trophy, Stanley Cup, Cy Young, etc. Maybe this award should be named after TC...

Arguably the most impressive job Cluess has ever done with a team! At this point he deserves a statue!
Amazing to think about how far Cluess has come since he took over at Iona. He doesn't get the credit he deserves for learning, improving and becoming a better coach. He is a much better coach today than he was in 2010.
Cluess is an absolute master and a class act. The only holes remaining in his resume are up game wins and an NCAA win. I still believe he will add these to his trophy chest before he calls it a career.

This quote from Daly Dose says it all about Cluess:
"I would like to thank God and the angels above who bless our team, and I truly mean that," Cluess gushed. "Sometimes we forget that it's supposed to be a game for kids, played by kids, and they should still enjoy it. We try to remind our guys of that. Yeah, we work really hard, but we work hard for a reason, to train them for life and better things ahead. I'm so proud that Iona now is the team that everyone's going to look at, and has raised the bar to number four."

Coach Tim Cluess is a leader of men and a tremendous example of what we should strive to be. He will leave a great legacy when he is done. Iona is fortunate to have such individual associated with the College. He gets “it”. He understands he has the freedom to run his program with minimal pressure. I look forward to what the future holds under his guidance. Which former player returns to start their coaching career under his supervision?

Cluess is a proven winner and based on the teams success this year shows he can still win with lesser talent. That right there shows how important having a great coach is.
There is one thing that I love about Cluess more than anything and that is he how he prepares his guys for the rest of their lives. In the limited times we actually hear coach speak he always preaches that this is just one phase of these young men’s lives and the work ethic they develop while at Iona will carry on forever.
We need more coaches/teachers to have that same philosophy.
Never want him to leave Iona. I hope he feels the same way.

Just want to point out Coach Cluess has 199 wins at Iona, His 200th would be VERY SPECIAL if it occurs this year.
