java, I have a superstition about watching games "alone" right now. Also, for the last 7 games I have gone to Wegmans and got one slice of plain pizza and one slice of pepperoni pizza to eat right before the game. I hope to be doing that for several more games (yeah that means we knock off Gonzaga!). Go Gaels!!! Z, You are a legend and I totally get it. I have some superstitions too and my wife thinks I'm nuts. Lol Speaking of Gonzaga, my father in law is a huge fan and it would he great if we were fortunate enough to win the title and that we would eventually face the Zags.

That's a very important point. Playing loose, with minimal stress and anxiety. thank God Cluess won't think like u 2 I don’t want the nit either but it’s nice to have in the back pocket. Maybe because I’m not on the team it just doesn’t feel like as much pressure this year and I think that’s a good thing. Ricky and Ej look so confidant right now. Almost as if they know if they do what Cluess says they will be dancing again!

Nothing is guaranteed Greg. TC is probably 1 of 3 who could take the honor. Really? You're serious? Name them Greg before tonight I saw several tweets and posts and no one even mentioned Cluess (mostly Christian and Dunleavy), hard to understand, he is the coach of the year!

We all know that #1's in the MAAC have historically taken the goggadills in the tourney. I believe Iona has a solid chance of winning the MAAC as the 1 seed based on the fact that they have a safety valve in the event we have an off night.

Ie. musical chairs with the 1-3 team players for "all MAAC". I also feel TC is most deserving but I guess part of me doesn't want to be disappointed if it doesn't fall his way.

Yeah, superstitions make no sense but I'm strange about them like using the same ball marker as long as I am playing golf well (which has been a while). In fact the last time I spoke with TC was at the last game we played at Loyola. We were chatting and I told him that I would never send him another email during the season again as I sent him one and we lost an important (perhaps a MAAC tourney) game. He thanked me.
The eldest son of the woman I have been seeing for the last 4 years went to Gonzaga. She's a huge fan and has seen games at The Kennel. I told her that what GU recently did to BYU could be considered a hate crime! They have a great program out there. She gets a bit annoyed at me when they play St. Mary's and I pull for SMU, because I love to hear the crowd chant "Let's Go Gaels!". She knows how much I love Iona.
Go Gaels!!!

Gonzaga is a kind of program that a school like Iona should aspire to emulate. The missing link is most certainly the facilities. Personally, I think it would be great for Iona to explore the purchase of the CNR property and build a facility like the Jenny Craig arena at USD, a beautiful 4000 seat arena.

Lol Iona and St. Mary's did play once in the Iona Christmas tournament, late 70s I think. There was a bench-clearing brawl. Also, Iona's AD from the Kennedy era left for the same job at St. Mary's, preferring Moraga to New Rochelle.

Correct,I was at the ST Mary’s game and Rutland was cheap shorted, everyone had his back and it was ugly, spilled into the lobby outside the gym doors,it somehow got calmed down but was close to getting ugly, this was when we had the Manufactures Hanover Christmas tourney every year at Mulcahy Gym.

Ten other MAAC teams don't. And I know some think we have no chance now because we finished 1st and the 1 never wins it. Dont forget this is bizarro Maac this year, I wouldnt be shocked if we see chalk.

Hard to argue if Christian or Dunleavy get COY, but TC certainly deserves it as much as anyone.
