I think we all agree that Iona should be better next year, but what about the rest of the MAAC? I'm listing three categories, and I know it's early, but it should give us a clue of which teams we should keep an eye on:
Better: Iona, Rider, FF, Manhattan and Monmouth. Worse: Siena, Canisius, SPU, and Niagara. Jury is still out: Quinnipiac, and Marist.
If anyone differs, list the reason why.

I expect us to be heavy favorites.
I also expect SPU to be better.

Still an entire offseason to go through, but would suspect something like this:
1. Iona 2. Rider 3. Manhattan 4. Quinnipiac 5. Fairfield 6. Siena 7. Saint Peter's 8. Monmouth 9. Marist 10. Canisius 11. Niagara

IMO, Rider underperformed this year, when they were heavy favorites (coaches) to win the MAAC. They probably won't be the favorites next year, Iona should be, so there will be less pressure, except on the coach, so they could be dangerous. FF should benefit from having a new coach, while with Siena the coach is a question mark. Not sure if any of Siena's newbies will have the impact of Pickett, and they do lose Fisher, Degnan and Smithen (I believe). Quinnipiac loses the POY but has a lot of talent returning and coming in. Manhattan had a lot of young freshmen who were better than expected, and hopefully Paulicap will be healthy. SPU loses Turner and Idowu, both VG, and Monmouth has enough guys coming back, so they should be decent.

I think the MAAC is going to be down again, so I'm not sure Rider is going to be "good", but by process of elimination they will be a top 4 team with Jordan and Vaughn coming back. Manhattan returns a decent young core and gets Palicapp back, and Quinny has a lot of talent coming back despite the loss of Young. To me those are the top 4 teams in the league in any particular order.

Monmouth at #8 appears to be a little low. They do lose Diago Quinn, but that's all they lose. They still have at least 3 open scholarships to fill that void. The MAAC is a guard league, and Monmouth returns a lot of athletic guards and G/F kids.
Will be a interesting couple of weeks coming up to see if there are any more coaching changes as well as kids transferring out of the MAAC. I am positive we will see more kids transfer from MAAC programs. I am waiting for official word that Mullin is returning to St. John's.

Can definitely argue Monmouth as a top 4 team with their returning guards.

While Rider may remain in the top 5, personally I think Kevin Baggett is overrated. He had a lot of talent this year and the team underachieved under his leadership. Yes, I know Rider came in 2nd in MAAC regular season play but his club was expected to dominate and they did not...

Way too early for me to even contemplate this topic: -Too soon after Friday's game -Watching UNC dissect Washington like they did not do to us -Unknown coaches -Transfers will continue -Trying to get into wind-down mode for a day or two

Your "unknown coaches" has me intrigued. Would love to see Cluess add Rasheen Davis to the staff.
