For Arrigoni Challenge: www.ionaconnection.com/giveUnder the Designation drop down menu, you will find the Arrigoni Challenge. Guys-- time to dig deep. We have all been waiting for this opportunity. Consider a 2 year gift. Done. The drop down menu does not have the Arrigoni Challenge as an option. I selected Other and typed it in. Weird-was there when I went there. Just checked--still there.

I didn’t find that in the pull down, but it was an easy work around.
Paul Sutera followed up with a call right afterward. I asked whether the college might post something directly on the message board here about how to contribute to the challenge. We have a receptive audience here.

I am working with Tom Moran to figure out the best way to do this. Tricky part is that the timing of the Arrigoni challenge coincides with the golf outing. The school obviously makes more money donating to the Arrigoni fund, since he's matching. Stay tuned--should have an answer today or tomorrow re how IonaHoops.com will get involved.

I told Paul (who is well aware of this board) that since we already have people excited about the renovation, it would be great to have the college reach out on the board itself. Let’s build some momentum financially for the program.

Let’s build some momentum financially for the program. I am well aware they are well aware LOL. I've just served 2 terms on the alumni board of directors. There will always be caution in terms of direct interaction with this board, as Iona College does not control its content--I do. In other words, if there was a thread titled "Tim Cluess likes to sleep with water buffalo", and I chose to leave it, then it looks bad for the school to associate with us--follow? That said, several folks at Iona have asked me to post certain things from time to time. So, once I hear back from Tom with direction re how to donate, I'll follow up, and that will be "official word from the school" without the school directly associating with us. But, again, to your point, they are aware of this board and its outreach, with just south of a million page views a year, and they also know of my twitter following as the moderator. It can be a good tool to share info, as there are plenty who view here who never post. And you'll notice we'll get the occasional drop-by from "sid", which is about as official a posting as you'll get from someone from Iona. In past board iterations we have worked with Iona to have "live chats" with coaches and ADs. Not long ago I had hinted to someone at Iona that such a chat with, say, Matt Glovaski, would be interesting in terms of, for instance, how the OOC comes together, as that is often a point of contention around here. Perhaps once our OOC is out, I'll work with him and Brian Beyrer to set something like that up.

Hi all--still looking to sponsor at least a golf hole at HOF. I know some of you have shifted priority to Arrigoni--please let me know if you would like to contribute to the IonaHoops.com sponsorship as well. No pressure, I get ZERO benefit, money goes to the Goal Club.

Hey guys: we're just a little shy of a golf hole sponsorship. Anyone not named Super or I86 want to contribute?

Can we get a photo of our beer cart? Also, any info passed along regarding the team or program?
