Beer cart sponsorship signage: Thank you to everyone who contributed! Nice call-out to IonaHoops.com in the event brochure as well as live during the event. It's a good look for the board to be recognized as a positive fundraising force for Gael Nation rather than an annoyance to staffers and players. I am not saying we should always be rah-rah out here, but as the guy who runs this thing, I'd rather be told "thank you" than "behave yourself" LOL. Scheduling news: heard a few names thrown around from a few different sources, but the key is that the names are always changing until the paperwork comes in LOL. Rest assured, we're looking to secure 2-3 games with majors and also have some other things in the hopper, but there's plenty of work to do. It's still "early", remember that our OOC is normally not announced until August. That said, other schools are slowly starting to announce OOC slates (follow @thed1docket on twitter, best source to follow everyone's schedules), so keep your eyes open! Roster news: confirming, despite the release, that we're still working on waivers for both Jelly and Mo. Also confirming we are looking at bigs, particularly if Mo won't be eligible this year. Re him, I have heard reports from the staff that suggest he would be our best big if he suits up this year--which is saying something, considering Agee will likely be preseason 1st team all-MAAC. Anyway, we still have ships to fill, so we're not done.

That would be great if both Thiam and Washington were granted waivers. Thiam was a solid rotation piece for a 30-5 NCAA team, would be great combined with Agee and Risto up front. Really hope IW gets his waiver approved. Have seen a few guys heavily involved with NYC summer leagues the last couple weeks and stealing Rothstein's line, there is palpable buzz in the city about IW returning and playing at Iona. They said Iona will get a jump in attendance, that's how big a following this kid has. Was also told he has never been more motivated on working on his game.

They should reserve one of the behind the basket sections for the "Jelly Fam Fans", come up with a creative name for the area. The other side can be the student section.

Note to everyone, this is all ONE question. Attendance (golf and dinner), Still, first home game, any Iona sports Alumni, and the Arrigoni fund?

Note to everyone, this is all ONE question. Attendance (golf and dinner), Still, first home game, any Iona sorts Alumni, and the Arrigoni fund? 34 foursomes; average dinner attendance Unlikely to see Still Likely Ohio Pat Kennedy, Marvin M. Arrigoni fund contributions slower and smaller amounts than projected

Super, thanks, I'm not too surprised by the Arrigoni fund, when you consider: 1. It's competing with the Goal Club fund raising. 2. Also, with the HOF golf and dinner.

Plenty of good news here today. Figure Washington and Thiam wouldn't have transferred unless they thought they had a good chance at a waiver. Fingers crossed!
