Stetson (5-7) lost at home 76-72 to Longwood.
Quinnipiac (4-4) won at Maine 81-61. Rich Kelly scored 21 points, leading 4 Bobcats who scored in double figures. Kevin Marfo had his fourth double-double of the season, with 14 points and 15 rebounds. He has pulled down double digit rebounds in every Quinny game this season.

Super I believe joebirds qualification is that the team must be trailing when the shot is released, buzzers are blaring and shot goes in, being the final play of the game. I thought that was it. A shot at the buzzer in a tied game does not qualify! Yes Super, Java is correct. Thank you Java, you qualify for an honorary buzzer beater masters degree!

Rider (7-2) won at home 74-64 over Marist (1-6). Stevie Jordan led the Broncs with 21 points, and Tyere Marshall added 19 with 9 rebounds. Michael Cubbage and Tyler Sagl each scored 15 for the Red Foxes. Interesting stat: Marist shot 25-48 (52%) for the game versus Rider who shot 16-40 (40%). However, the Red Foxes were whistled for 32 fouls and Rider committed just 17, thus Marist was outscored at the free throw line by a margin of 37 to 8.
Kennesaw State (1-9) were totally dominated at Murray State, losing 74-38.

Pretty sure it was in this thread some posted that Ensor has to go. Not happening any time soon.

Pretty sure it was in this thread some posted that Ensor has to go. Not happening any time soon. My guess is he reappointed himself. How else could any hiring body not see what’s going on in the MAAC. The downward spiral will continue! Mediocrity seems to be the new league goal...

Presidents afraid to make bold decision. 34 years is just too much!
Presidents under duress with declining student populations, particularly in the Northeast.
Much easier to go with status quo on athletics-too many other difficult decisions to make.
Given all that is going on with NCAA, I fear a D1A and D1B. MAAC not positioned well.

Very good point about declining enrollment at small private schools. Sports are understandably an afterthought. Still, I have little confidence in Ensor's leadership.

Reference enrollment. I always thought that successful sports programs helped increase enrollment.

Reference enrollment. I always thought that successful sports programs helped increase enrollment. Sure it doesn't hurt but how significant can it be? There will be a MAAC school or two that closes in the next five years. Don't think Iona is a possibility but only a few MAAC schools are financially sound.
