Until he shows otherwise, IW is not impressive at all.. in fact its the opposite. I said that last game, most disagreed. Right now, on offense, he is WAY too tentative. He is trying to feed everybody. If its open, take it to the rim! I like him on D, he is active w/active hands.

What a horrible beginning to the season in every way possible! Preston on Ohio is the type of player who leads mid majors to ncaa wins, a total stud, I can see him in the nba one day. Best player on the floor. Preston made some awkward shots and some smooth drives showing a soft touch. The quintessential scorer. In the middle of the second half, I selfishly hoped he was on our team.

Hynes looked great, was nice to see the student section full, but the announcer said something like: "Join us for our next game against St. Peter's on Jan 6? " (im not sure of the date) ,I'm thinking "but that's like 7 weeks away. "

Also gotta believe Risto and Nik could’ve helped against some of their bigs. The rotation is awful right now. I know Tra is doing his best - but there is no rhyme or reason to the minutes. Just random nonsense Puzzled that neither player saw the floor. Also, minimal time from Perez.

When is Cashaw going to get a run? Agreed. When is Mcneil going to be healthy and suited to play?

How every single player breaking the huddle didnt know to foul #11 when he got the ball is beyond me... Exactly. Feels like we’re just rolling balls out of the closet and hoping for some luck. I thought the substitution pattern in the first half was ok and abysmal in the second half. Again, it appeared that EJ played most of the game. Probably needed some rest. Also, after a solid first half, Thiam got spinach in the second half.

Hoping for the best, but would prepare for TC to be out until conf play begins.
IW is not playing well offensively and he did make some uncharacteristic turnovers tonight, but he is very active defensively and does all of the little things that help teams win games — rebound, move without the ball, command the defense, etc.
It’s a long season. We will get it together by Jan. Only problem is that with this OOC slate our best bet at this point is for a 15 seed (which I’m sure many of us would sign up for!).

We definitely need Cluess back, and we'll have to see when or if that happens. The MAAC is still mostly poor, so let's just keep getting better. Next 2 games have to get us heading in the right direction.

I feel good about tomorrow. I like our defense, and I think the first half is just something we had to go through to learn. Arnold now has a game under his belt too. While thehat was dead on, this was embarrassingly off. Oye.

Washington's taking far too much criticism here. I'm certain it will all turn around for him and the whole team. Just a bad start. One player should not catch grief for an entire team underperforming. Effort is there but not the results -- yet!

Coach Arnold has a TON of pressure suddenly thrust upon him and is doing the best he can.
Let's also remember he has to integrate 7 new players/personalities into this roster... not a simple task.
TC is a basketball genius and we can't expect Coach Arnold to easily fill his shoes.
That said, I have to believe TC would've recognized something in both these relatively close games that may have changed both outcomes.
