And therein lies my point. ... Tulane is a Hynes game; not a MSG game... And therein lies mine! Right--so is your complaint JUST the quality of opponent, then? Because, as I have guaranteed (for what that's worth, LOL), there will be more than 2611 at MSG for Iona-Tulane. If so, then yes, I agree--shame we can't get a better game. But, realistically, who knows what hoops we had to jump through to get ANY game there. And, as I said, a better team wouldn't risk a game vs Iona at MSG--Iona's simply too strong right now.

Eureka! The quality of opponent for that venue is exactly what I'm talking about!
And you're right, who knows what goes on behind the scenes for these matchups to come about. Perhaps Tulane may have some type of connection with someone at MSG or Iona, St. Johns, Mike Bloomberg or perhaps Lion King tickets!

I am honored to be mentioned with OT. Any game at MSG is a plus for the program. We can't be expected to land a powerhouse given the mid major designation. I don't think it is a disappointment at all. Would you rather the "Mecca" game go to Marist?

I too will take any game at the Garden and on MSG. BUT..... it won't have the magic of Louisville and Kansas in 1980. The Garden was rocking those nights. Great stuff and that put us on the map.
