96 teams bracket? Where did that come from. I think we are still at 68. You are correct: "The 2012 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament will involve 68 schools playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is scheduled to begin on March 13, 2012 and will conclude with the championship game on April 2 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans"

Long summer off from college bball talk -- my brain is rusty

I can definitely see where Guy is coming from with his picks. I agree on the 16-2 conference record – loss at FF and another road game.
I am concerned about all the road games in December as there are no pushovers there, which is a good thing as the team is loaded.
With regard to PR: If we beat Purdue there is still a strong chance at going 1-2 cause Temple and the Bama/Wichita St loser are excellent teams. While a loss to Purdue might be tough to mentally handle for us fans, I like our chances (to go 2-1 there) against West Mich and the Maryland /Colorado winner (I don’t think Maryland or Colorado are very good this year). I know I made some assumptions there....
All that said, my gut says be beat Purdue and Temple before losing a close one to Alabama.
