Any word on how tonight's scrimmage turned out? I understand that the team left New Ro about 3PM, so I'm guessing the 'game' started around six. Did anyone hear anything?

Iona won by 20. Working on finding out who stood out.

Someone tweeted that MoMo had 20 in 2nd half. Also heard Glover and Machado played well.

My GUESS, and it is really a guess is that the team was struggling, and MoMo felt that he had to take over, resulting in 20 second half/period points. Anyone else see it that way? Of course, it would be just as logical to say our depth wore down the opposition and MoMo was the beneficiary of a lot of fast break baskets. For me, I'm going with the first scenario. Either way, it looks like we have another big time scorer. JMO.

You're partially right. Because of the usual Friday afternoon traffic in CT as well as a couple accidents thrown in, it took the team 3.5 hours to get to Quinny--they basically got there and started the scrimmage. As a result, they started slowly.
I did hear that Glover and Machado each scored at least 18, so it's not like we TOTALLY struggled.

We should struggle in every game and ONLY win by 20.

Brings back memories of covering and traveling with the hockey team. I used to hate Friday games on the road. The Ice Gaels had a couple of those type of games where it was off the bus and out to the ice.
