The Lady Gaels looked pretty good, last night, defeating Philadelphia University, 96-61. Two starting standouts, Kristina Ford and Danicka Martinez, led the way with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Both played 23 minutes. The team is deep and talented and having Suzi Fregosi back at the point makes the team much better.
I would think that Ford and Marinez would be strong candidates for POY and ROY. The bad news is that the officiating for Women's BB is still pretty poor, at least based on last night's game.
