Well we knew this was coming didn't we?
Let's hope the College is committed to doing things the right way going forward. Its very hard to build a reputation for integrity and very easy to destoy one.

Well, being a former Director of Alumni Relations and Advancement Department employee, the good news is that the average Alumni gift just doubled! The fact that the actual dollar amount raised was not inflated probably shows that it was a calculation mistake (and not a budgetary one). Iona will emerge. No matter what, the Advancement Department has done a remarkable job over the past 10 years. Just visit the campus (the growth is amazing) and that is evident to anyone (with little to no debt). While other schools are struggling and the economy is slipping, Iona College and some of our peer institutions seem to be doing very well. Thank God.

I know the competition for students is fierce, but this was monumentally stupid. What were they thinking?

I know the competition for students is fierce, but this was monumentally stupid. What were they thinking? They were all thinking, just as criminals do, that they wouldn't be caught.
